I said that I don't do REtextures. I don't do texture mods. I do re-model mods, re-mesh. Well, the textures for my new models are just an integral part of my new meshes, and this cannot be called a "texture mod", because "texture mod (REtexture)" means creating ONLY textures, without a model. It means simply replacing the texture for a model that already exists. For a model made by someone else (like vanilla Bethesda models or models by other authors). That's what I meant when I said that I don't do REtextures/texture mods. I make my own models, and of course I create textures for them. I only create textures for my own models, and I never do REtextures, because I don't like making textures for other people's models. That's what I meant. Sorry if you misunderstood me because of my bad English. 😕
I have never did this. I do not use other author's textures on principle. I always create exclusively my own textures for my models. Moreover, it is impossible. Because I create my own UV map for my model, and only then create textures directly from the UV map. For this reason, any textures from other authors are incompatible with my models. Just like my textures are not compatible with models from other authors.
I see I see. I tried it, but the problem I have is that, similar to image 11, it is much brighter than the surrounding wood / logs, which makes it look sort of out of place compared to the other wood textures in my game from Skyland (the aged / grey tone). The model itself it amazing though. And the texture is good, it just doesnt fit my game unfortunately
You are mistaken when you say that my textures are bright. You can see the original textures in the images up to 11. Image 11 looks bright because: a) a lantern is shining on the door (this can be seen in the image) b) direct rays of the setting sun are shining on the door c) my character is standing near the door, with a torch in her hand, and the light from the torch also falls on the door That's why in image 11 the textures look bright. The original textures look are in the previous images
However, I agree that my textures may not match with other authors' textures, because each author makes their textures to their own taste. Personally, I don't use Skyland textures, I use other mods. And in my game, these doors match the environment very well. In the vanilla game it also looks good
Sorry, I guess I didn't mean "bright" as such; just brighter than the things nearby in comparison. Like I said, its really good, just doesnt quite fit in my game, unfortunately. Thankyou for producing these great works!
The only option I can offer you is to adjust the diffuse map. Reduce brightness and contrast, reduce saturation, make the texture darker and duller. It is quite possible that after these settings my texture will be in harmony with Skyland textures
Oh, I wouldn't concern yourself with my requirements. I am just one small person :) But I very much appreciate all the discussions, its been interesting to hear
Okay these look a hell lot better then the other Mine door mod ; w ; I am defo picking this thanks for all the texture mods Half <3 I almost got all from them from you haha I wonder if you will do common bookshelves and drawers and such ; w ; I use another but it looks odd with the rest of the textures I use from you T_T
Thank you very much! I really appreciate your feedback. 🤗😊🙂
for all the texture mods
new models mods 😉
I wonder if you will do common bookshelves and drawers
I will not do this. Even if I change my mind in the future and make bookshelves and drawers, none of my furniture mods will ever be published on the Nexus again. If I make bookshelves and drawers, they will not be published on this platform.
The new Nexus rules prohibit me from publishing furniture mods. For this reason, no more my furniture-changing mods will ever be published on this resource.
@nmjfiregfew Sorry, but I won't answer your question here, because I don't want any problems with the moderators. You can read the updated rules yourself and you'll understand everything.
Sorry, but I won't do door retextures. Or any other retextures. I don't do retextures at all (I don't have any retexture mods), because I very don't like doing it.
