I created this mod, because I loved the bow in Skyrim, but wished for a version of it that could fire like a modern bow, or like the Dawnguard crossbows.
I loved the Auriel’s bow model, but was slightly disappointed with the kind of “meh” enchantments on the arrows. I loved Zephyr for the effect, but preferred the Auriel’s bow model for looks. Therefore I created a version of the Auriel’s bow, with an enchanced Zephyr effect.
It fires 50% faster than a normal bow, but in much the same way a crossbow does. This serves to balance out the crossbow bolt's 50% armor penetration effect.
It’s celestial arrows fire further, straighter and faster than regular arrows – similar to a crossbow bolt, or an arrow fired a modern compound bow.
There are three different versions of the mod:
- Normal (Not enchantable bow with non-enchanted regular celestial arrows only). - Enchanted Arrows (Not enchantable bow with enchanted and regular celestial arrows). - Enchantable (Enchantable bow with enchanted and regular celestial arrows).
This mod is stand-alone and you do not need the Dawnguard DLC for it.
Please let me know what you think of the mod and if you have any suggestions for improving the mod.
How did you achieve this, particularly the range, arrow velocity, and flatter firing arc combined with the increased draw speed? Usually, quicker draw speeds means shorter range, while longer draw speed means longer range. It's how the game calculates. So what did you do to successfully change that?
Is there, perchance, any way to link this mod with Scoped Bows SE?? I'm pretty addicted to scoped bows at this point, don't really want to bother with those that aren't !!
I love the arrows, but sadly the mod broke my aiming. I have to aim waaay lower and I get instant zoom . should it be like that? As soon as I uninstall it everything is fine, and I'm not using any archery or aiming mod. have you encountered this issue before?
I like the idea behind this mod. I love zephyr and this is that on roids which is awesome. But unfortunately it messes up the effects of Eagle Eye and Steady hand which are very integral to my build. Is this something that will get fixed in the future or is this the final version? If not its still a good mod and I'll definitely try it again with a different character in the future.
Thank you for the Mod Avengarth, i checked this in SSEdit >>>> Celestial Bow - Enchantable Version ESP is in Form ID 43, may i update it to Form ID 44?
So I tried out your mod and I really liked the set up. I like the arrows and even the zoom. However the zoom mechanic over wrote the Ordinator perks for Eagle Eye where I no longer have access to the slowing time effect. I hope there would be a way to patch this as I don't want to give up those abilities from Ordinator.
If you have a invisible bow and arrow its means you did not install the textures and meshes folders & files in your Skyrim Special Edition/Data directory correctly. Please refer to the installation instructions.
Alternatively your SkyrimSE is not correctly configured for modding.

have you encountered this issue before?
I have taken cognizance of your report. Thank you for that.
It has to do with the increased range of the bow and mostly affects point blank shooting.
I have tweaked the settings and reduced the maximum range lower the max range and this has (more or less) resolved this issue.
The mod also tweaks the eagle eye perk a bit for increased- and faster zoom.
Will upload the new file shorty.

Aven
