Having an issue where the skin on my body isn't aligning properly only when I use COTR. The nipples are lower than the actual mesh? Neck/wrists look great otherwise. Would really love some advice!
I don't really see the problem here (except SE looking like SE)

I'll assume (a lot) that you're asking after the visual differences: This patch and blackmoonx' complexion look different because they are different. Both stylistically (and blackbmoonx and I approach texture creation differently, too) and in what they are aiming to do. My patch is either just a patch or just a texture replacer. I'll assume (again) we're talking about the replacer here. It's not a set of new complexions ("new textures" don't necessarily mean "new complexions"), it simply follows the structure that COtR has. COtR uses the following system: 6 different diffusemaps, mixed with only 3 different normal maps for the face plus one "age 50" set of textures and only 1 specular to "rule them all" to create all 6 complexions. There's a lot of mixing happening and I can't choose to accentuate 1 out of 6 textures to "put down" the other 5, because then the other 5 will look weird. "Why is the face shaded like it has wrinkles, but the face is smooth?"\"Why is the skin texture different when the light hits the face"\"Why does this all look slightly wrong expect for 1 complexion out of 6")
Plus, I make my textures with LE edition of the game in mind (although that's changing, I still can't let go of LE ENB). SE/AE blows out the details, I don't really like the lighting in it and I already oversharpened the textures in the main ALT1 mod and cranked the detail on the normals so far they're bordering on "compressed sandpaper look" in LE *already*.
I'd say if you want to get a similar look out of my textures to blackmoonx' textures you might prefer harsher normal maps (because SE-AE edition of the game destroys all detail) and perhaps a harsher\different specularmap than what ALT1 has. Here's what I mean by that: https://i.ibb.co/n3fh0cp/comparison.jpg
So if you want my (or BnP) textures to look more like blackbmoonx' complexion, I'd adjust or even re-do the normal maps (and probably up the resolution. I kept it at 2K because eh), add more fine detail from the skin and such. Here's a quick and dirty comparison: https://i.ibb.co/BKtJ6MF/nrm-2.jpg
Maybe make the diffusemaps more contrasty, too (LE/SE render and setup differences, again). Ideally, if you want the good(er) result, I'd do a .esp and add new complexions instead with each normal map and each facial texture having its own specular map (like I did with Dizona Body, ALT1, ALT1 for Men face texture addon, etc) instead of 1-spec-fits-all scenraio, here's another example: https://i.ibb.co/RCPqf9D/spec4.jpg
But 1. I don't use COtR at all, and 2. It still won't look the same (they'd look more like the textures in ALT1 for vanilla heads) way blackmoonx's do because they were made for different use cases.
So TLDR; you're comparing apples to oranges here, and it's probably the same issue you have with BnP, which is closer to what I make stylistically usually.
Hi Letho, first i thank you for all these informations, myself i like to be very clear too. I will re-read this later because i don't really understand this business of "normal map" / " diffuse map " / " specular map " ... 😅
I'm not a modder actually, i'm just a preset maker, i know few if nothing of modding... 😂
Sorry i belevied i would have a similar render as Complexions for CoTR, that's all... 😁
But maybe your mod can help me get rid of the Neck seam if i install yours then Complexions for CoTR... 😎

I had the same problem with BnP CoTR Faces...
The next picture is what i use ordinary (Complexions for CoTR by BlackMoonx) :
I have no ENB.
