Version 0.2 Release - News Regarding the Mod's Future
Hi all.
With the release of 0.2, which basically fleshes out the vanilla crime dialogue and adds the death sentence for Raven Rock guards, I am considering making this mod a complete overhaul of Skyrim's prison system to make it an actual punishment instead of something that could be beneficial, as well as adding things like posies and the ability to join the Bandit/Forsworn factions to make the player truly feel like an outlaw if their bounty is high enough.
To answer some questions...
Q) Can I flag this as ESL? A) I tried and it wouldn't let me.
Q) Why is the death sentence threshold so much lower than it is on Raven Rock? A) During the Dark Brotherhood, when the false Emperor is assassinated the player receives a 1500 bounty in Solitude. Because treason is punishable by death in Imperial law, with even the act of aiding someone who committed treason resulting in death like what happened to Roggvir, it only made sense to make 1500 the death sentence threshold given the lore. House Redoran law does not follow Imperial law to the letter, and so it instead uses the death sentence threshold from TES3 Morrowind which was 5000 gold.
Keep in mind that I'm relatively new to programming in CK and creating quests, etc., so it will likely take a while for me to modify the jail systems to "perfection." But rest assured, I have full intentions to finish this project, it may just take a while. Until then, stay tuned.
True and I'll probably use this value for Raven Rock guards. The reason for the arguably harsher change is when you kill the false Emperor you gain a 1500 bounty in Solitude, and Skyrim is known to execute people for lesser crimes.
PLease an INI file or MCM with option to adjust the value of the death warrant, using a mod that increases all crimes values something alike 5k or 10k would be more reasonable
