I have a bad feeling I already know the answer to this but ...
What happens if I am already using a BnP Male skin replacer in the game for both player and NPCs? If I activate the Dremora, Gray Extra option, that means EVERY male will get Dremora, Grey skin, right?*
Have you looked at the preset without the Dremora, Grey skin? Is it viable as a ghoul/lich? Think I could just play with the skin complexion a bit to simulate something close?
* I ran a profile once with my character being an old man using the BNP "elder" extra option - Was set back a bit to see every male in the game looking like an old geezer, lol.
Hi, the BnP - Male Skin modpage mentions another mod called Racial Skin Variance (RSV) that lets you apply the skin to only your player character. I haven't used it before though so idk the exact steps needed but you can read thru the description at the BnP Male skin page: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/65402?tab=description
I ran with RSV for awhile. Yes, it worked as advertised, but had a couple of trade-offs that ultimately led me to remove it from my line-up. 1st trade-off was you had to run without pubes for the males (it squared them off on the top and sides). It was a lose-lose choice for me because both the squared pubes or hairless option looked wrong to me. The 2nd trade-off was you couldn't have custom body meshes for NPCs, as the mod uses the WNAM field to load the skins to each individual. While the mod added variety in textures, it removed variety in having different body mesh types. People reported using Obody to get around this, but my line-up crashes with it due to me overloading the engine with the MANY outfit options for NPCs I have based on Leveled Lists
Anyway, I'm going to give the preset a shot on my next run as I plan to do a Necromancer. I will try to play with the skin color in Racemenu to see if I can make it grey. Will let you know if it works.
aaaaah ok - i have that too LOL great idea i would need it in yellow... hmmm - ok than i ttry something new with the color (keep fingers crossed) - thank you very much <3
Thanks for making your awesome BnP skin mods too :D But I'm not really sure how to make NPC mods now since Creation Kit isn't working on my PC anymore, very sorry🙏 Hopefully someone could do this tho, would love to see it as well!
