What's the deal?
---------------------------
This mod adds Lawbringer functionality to Valtheim Towers in Whiterun Hold. After you clear the location you can claim it for the faction you support: Whiterun Hold, the Imperials or the Stormcloaks. The bandits will never respawn and harrass us again!

Like in my Robber's Gorge for Lawbringer mod, I have only minimally changed or added to the vanilla game layout while the gameplay is entirely untouched with no added enemies or added sub-plots or anything like that. This mod is for players who love Lawbringer and also like the base game Valtheim just fine. Please see the pictures for what you can expect. In most pics I used the Ennead Banners mod, but in-game it will show the textures you have installed.

I was quite surprised that no support for Lawbringer existed for the vanilla location. There are a number of overhauls for Valtheim, a very good one by EpicCrab himself but for my taste, I like the size and scope of the base game Valtheim the best.

Installation
-------------------
Lawbringer mod is a hard requirement without which my mod does not work and is useless. So install Lawbringer first.

My mod is just one .esp file. Either install the ESL-flagged version (Main file) or the optional normal ESP version. I recommend to use the ESL-flagged version, especially when you are about to start a new game. The normal one is more of a fallback.

While starting a new game is highly recommended, in my testing it also works to install the mod mid-game. In this case make sure you are a long distance away from Valtheim (interior preferred, eg. an inn) so the cell will load afresh when you approach the towers.

Deinstallation
-----------------------
Honestly I don't know. I would not dare to uninstall Lawbringer and it's modules (including mine) mid-game, especially if your life depends on that game. There are scripts and the mod makes changes that I am not sure can be un-done or deleted safely. Definitely use Resaver to inspect the first save after you uninstalled. If you don't know what I am talking about, then please do not uninstall Lawbringer and modules mid-game. Do test it in some test setup before you fully commit.

Having said that, if you installed Lawbringer and already like it and just want to add a module for Valtheim, that's fine and you won't be uninstalling anyways because Lawbringer itself works simple and stable.

Additional Information / Spoilers
-------------------------------------------------------
Mechanics: If you are not yet familiar with Lawbringer, please read up on its modpage. But basically, after you claimed Valtheim at the flag atop the roadside tower platform (see pictures) and sleep in one of the nearby bedrolls (or just wait, or leave) for 24 hours, your chosen faction moves in and occupies Valtheim from now on.

Changes: Whilst you were sleeping, the new faction was busy at work. A new flag has been raised on top of the main tower and another new banner was placed at the roadside entrance door.

Already before you ever came along, the bandit boss hung a green banner above his bed and placed a candlehorn light on the end table 'cuz he liked it more cozy. The banner is now swapped out for the new faction. In addition, two additional bedrolls were placed in the main tower to accomodate up to 6 guards (or 7 if the CO is willing to share the double bed).

The cooking station was moved off the road inside the tower first floor where it makes a lot more sense. And finally, there is a letter and small gift on the dining table. That's it, no additional loot or rewards!
