This mod is designed to be a lightweight addition to your load order that will allow you to craft Falmer and Ancient Falmer weapons and armor from the vanilla game. The crafting recipes are balanced around vanilla crafting and are locked behind appropriate perk requirements, which you can find more details on below. This mod makes no edits to vanilla records so it should be compatible with any texture or item overhauls you have. The file was made in xEdit and is an ESPFE (ESL-flagged ESP) so it won't count towards the standard archive limit.
Crafting Recipes Standard Falmer Armor
Requires the Dwarven Smithing perk.
Includes the Boots, Bracers, Cuirass, Helmet, and Shield.
Crafted using Chaurus Chitin, Iron Ingots, and Leather Strips.
Crafting recipes require same number of ingredients as Chitin Armor from the Dragonborn DLC.
Hardened Falmer Armor
Requires the Advanced Armors perk.
Includes the Boots, Gauntlets, Cuirass, and Helmet.
Crafted using Chaurus Chitin, Steel Ingots, and Leather Strips.
Crafting recipes require same number of ingredients as Chitin Armor from the Dragonborn DLC.
Heavy Falmer Armor
Requires the Ebony Smithing perk.
Includes the Boots, Gauntlets, Cuirass, and Helmet.
Crafted using Chaurus Chitin, Ebony Ingots, and Leather Strips.
Crafting recipes require same number of ingredients as Chitin Armor from the Dragonborn DLC.
Ancient Falmer Armor
Requires the Glass Smithing perk.
Requires that the Dawnguard quest Touching the Sky be completed.
Includes the Boots, Gauntlets, Cuirass, and Crown.
Crafted using Refined Moonstone, Leather, and Leather Strips.
Crafting recipes require same number of ingredients as Glass Armor.
Falmer Weapons
Requires the Dwarven Smithing perk.
Includes the Falmer Sword, Falmer War Axe, Falmer Bow, and Falmer Supple Bow.
Crafted using Chaurus Chitin and Leather Strips.
Crafting recipes require same number of ingredients as Dwarven Weapons.
Legacy of the Dragonborn Support
I have included an additional optional file under the Files tab that will add crafting recipes for the Ancient Falmer armors added by the popular Legacy of the Dragonborn mod. Like the vanilla Ancient Falmer Armor, it requires that you have the Glass Smithing perk and have completed Touching the Sky. Recipes use Refined Moonstone, Leather, and Leather Strips and require the same number of materials as Glass Armor. The available crafting recipes include the Shield, Bow, Sword, Greatsword, Battleaxe, War Axe, Mace, Warmace, and Dagger. This file is standalone, so if you already have a mod that adds crafting recipes for the vanilla Falmer weapons but you still want the recipes for LOTD you can download this file without worrying about compatibility.
