This mod was originally part of another mod of mine, Enhanced Skyrim Enchanting (http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/11878/?).
I have removed the Dragonborn's Razor component and published it now as a separate mod, due to numerous requests received.
This is a mod I created for myself, but I thought that maybe others might enjoy it also.
I really love the dagger - it is certainly the most beautiful one in the game. Now the most deadly too. Also available as a conjuration summonable bound weapon.
I have greatly enjoyed using this weapon - more than any other sword, axe or mace. I hope you do too.
One suggestion though. Maybe you should change the thumbnail to the sword version to attract more attention. I only found this mod by accident via google images despite looking for something like it for a long time.
Hey, I just want to say, don't listen to the haters. I think this mod seems great! I haven't downloaded it because I didn't know about it before I downloaded and ported the Legacy version but I'm sure it's still a great mod! I know it's mostly just a longsword and greatsword version of Mehrunes Dagger but that's great! It lets people who don't use daggers to enjoy it as well!
The sword also seems to have 2 or 3 charges then it is drained. This is true for both the summoned or crafted sword. This can't be intentional, can it? Such a nice sword, i wish it had a usable enchantment or no enchantment.
This is a really great looking sword, and i like that it can be conjured.
But when i do conjure the sword, sheathing the conjured sword adds a physical sword to my inventory. So every time I conjure and sheathe the sword, I have another sword added to a stack of these swords in my inventory. I discovered this when i quickly became overburdened from all the swords in my inventory.
I guess thats ok, since I can just drop a stack of the swords when i get overburdened, but it is weird, and i doubt this was intended.
You are probably experiencing the bound sword bug - it often happens in the game.
Try this fix: 1) Put all your gear into a container and save the game (don't worry about quest items) 2) Zoom out on your naked character. Open the console by pressing the tilde (`) key. 3) Click on you character. Should see a number similar to "(00000014)". 4) Type "resetinventory". Press Enter. Save the game. 5) Restart the game. Gear up.
That should solve your problem. I have been playing the game using the bound spell for several weeks now in SE and works perfectly for me.
Try those steps and let me know if it has resolved your problem.
I'm having the same issue. Followed the above steps and still nothing. This mod is dead last in my load order so don't think it's an issue with mod conflicts. The conjuration animation plays fine, but no sword or dagger appears. I added the spell books through the console, is there a better way of obtaining the spells?
I chose to use the Mehrune's model for this mod, because it is such a beautiful weapon. It is therefore certainly not unique in terms of appearances. Fair enough.
But it is distinctive in the sense that it adds enchanted effects, and that is craftable and upgradale and is available as both a physical weapon and as a summonable bound weapon by means of a conjuration spell.
It is true that I can't add enchantments to MR, but improved on a grindstone, MR is a vicious weapon indeed. It rates about 100 damage above DR.
IS DR improvable? I'm wondering if MR shares the high speed of DR? The in game description/skyrim wiki don't say that. I have avoided the temptation to add single weapon mods.
The other thing is that MR only grants a 1.98 % chance of an instant kill. If MR is fast enough, maybe that won't be a big issue.
With level 100 smithing and an extreme smithing ring, I can improve MR to 633 damage. The best I can get with DR is 165. Your sword goes to 202 damage. I can't improve your greatsword.
Thank you for the feedback. I checked and found that the DR Great Sword Temper recipe omitted a crafting modifier. It has now been fixed with the latest patch, Version 1.2. Thanks for that.
As to your 633 damage on the MR- I don't know how that is possible, to be honest. There must be some mod / stacking loop mechanic responsible, as it shouldn't normally happen.
The following information was obtained directly from the Skyrim.bsa file:
The MR Dagger's base damage is 11 Crit damage 6. Speed 1.3. The DR Dagger's base damage is 12 Crit damage 6. Speed 1.5 (As modded in my mod file). The DR Sword's base damage is 21 Crit damage 8. (As modded in my mod file). The DR Great Sword's base damage is 30 Crit damage 15. (As modded in my mod file).
I have tested upgrading (tempering) with a ring of peerless smithing (25% improvement), with smithing skill at 100 and Steel and ebony smithing unlocked. My One-Handed skill is 100 with all perks unlocked (100% extra One handed Damage). My Sneak skill is 100 with all perks unlocked (extra one handed sneak kill modifiers).
With all the above I can upgrade the MR Dagger damage to 52 (flawless), DR Dagger to 77 (legendary). DR Sword to 105 (legendary) - All one-handed weapons.
Based on the Vanilla game, plus my mod, the damage rating you get for the MR shouldn't happen.
Please do the following test:
1) Get a new MR via console (player.additem 000240D2 1). 2) Craft the DR. 3) Equip the smithing ring. 4) Upgrade both at the smithing wheel.
There is no way the MR damage should be higher than the DR. It tested this repeatedly on my rig.
You are probably right, somewhere in Nexus Skyrim Overhaul, Argonyl's mod, and Enchantment Overhaul, my weapon improvements go touched. But I would expect the affect to be the same regardless. Why such little improvement for DR? I do see that I am getting substantially more for those than you are.
MR is now quite effective for one or two opponents. But for a group, I still need something larger. Maybe the improvement isn't as much as advertised.
I will see what I can do with the greatsword. Thanks.
The greatsword gets 359 damage which is good for a two handed weapon. Some weapons allow a 2nd and sometimes even a third improvement. MR did three. And some other mod weapons do too.

The Dragonborn's Razor Great Sword's tempering has been fixed with Version 1.2.
You should now be able to upgrade it. Available now for download.

In comparison the DR has slightly higher base damage than the MR.
You can improve the DR at the grindstone, and the improved version will have higher damage than the MR too.
The DR grants a 10% instant kill chance and attack speed of 1.75, compared to the 2% instant kill chance of the MR and the attack speed of 1.5.
The DR has 2 enchantments which the MR don't have.
And the DR is available as bound weapon that is summonable via a conjuration spell.
You can actually create two DR's and duel wield them, if you so wish, which you can't with the MR.
