This is the only version of RDO I'm planning on uploading for Skyrim Special Edition (SSE), barring any game-breaking bugs. The only "updates" I may release are patches for conflicting mods that get updated for SSE. (The only other exception is if both SKSE and SkyUI are updated to work with SSE)
In truth, how RDO ended up is not like my original intentions. Without getting into the specifics, just know that this was supposed to be a resource for other modders, with various other options intended for users. Well, it all ended up getting squashed into a single plugin with a few patches. Not at all how I originally intended it to be. So, I've decided to actually create the mod(s) I originally wanted. It'll take me a while, with real life and other potential modding obligations, but I've learned a lot when working on RDO that I didn't know when I first started the project in December of 2015, which will be of great benefit.
Hopefully you all have enjoyed using RDO over the last few months, and I truly appreciate the amount of support that all of you have shown for the mod. It really does mean a lot!
Yes, I'm aware that iAFT and AFT have been uploaded for SSE. I'll work on updating the patches and release them as soon as I've confirmed that they're working. Just give me some time.
Edit: There is seemingly an issue where mods from Skyrim Legendary Edition (SLE) are causing save game corruption in Special Edition (SE), if they were not saved in the new 64-bit CK for SE. This is the case for, most likely, a large number of mods available right now for SE.
RDO is NOT one of those mods. It was saved in the CK for SE, and is safe to use.
Sorry for the absence this past month. There have been personal issues, along with university studies, that have been taking up most of my time. Now that the fall semester is over, I'll hopefully be able get back into modding more and provide better support (let's face it - I haven't done a very good job with that).
I'm also greatly considering another update to RDO (yes, I know, that contradicts what I previously said. As well as the name of the current version...). There are a few other vanilla audio bugs and some users requests that I would be including. I'm also possible looking into adding in-game configuration options (to replace the MCM from classic Skyrim) through a lesser power, or NPC dialogue.
Regarding the Xbox One version: I'm working on an update for both the PC and Xbox versions. So I will make the Xbox version available again once the update is finished.
It comes bundled with the patch for Cutting Room Floor (which I don't have installed,) but when I install it via my mod manager it doesn't give me the option to install just one or the other.
If you don't have CRF, just disable (or delete) "RDO - CRF + USSEP Patch.esp" after installing the mod. The other .esp is the one that patches USSEP only.
Hugely improves the companions to feel like buddies on an adventure, or a husband/wife team out on the prowl slaying evil, without turning your partner into a chatterbox. Well done and thanks for the hard work!
For anyone like me who installed RDO ~30hrs in with NFF. 1. Reinstall NFF and apply patch for RDO. 2. Reset quest lines for NFF in the MCM dismissing and resetting the framework. I had a bug that wouldn't let me interact with Uthgerd(She would enter and leave a combat state but no dialogue would appear).
Hopefully this helps any greedy modders such as myself.
Loot is constantly telling me that the RDO master is missing. I'm I haven't updated it for a long time since it showed I've had the latest version for several years already downloaded. Am I missing something?
EDIT: Well it has been in my load order a long time. I guess at some point over all these years I must've accidentally merged some files in an extremely messy manner and it deleted the esp. Welp, that's embarrassing
