Hi! I made a little add on for my personal game that adds all the calian colors to NPCs, and figured I'd upload it for anyone to enjoy. I've since expanded it to mark this mod as an ESL, adjust the prices of the calians, and more!
All the halls are already full of stuff (both official displays and some personal changes) in my case! But as an obsessive collector of random items I can only agree, these deserve a display. I've made displays for several other mods (for personal use only) before... If nobody else feels like taking on such a project, I might give it a try.
please tell me, if I install your mod, will they appear in the pockets of the Thalmor? By the way, a very interesting mod. unusual. there is a reason to exterminate the Thalmor :). and as an option, if they are added, then make some stones named. the same Ancano, for example
would love to see a mod that does that, some fansy ones for the big named Talmor of the game and a chance for the others... how hard is it to make a SPID mod that does that exactly? and to whom do I need to plea for that?
This mod doesn't distribute anything, it's just the base items. I would love to do what you're asking, though! I'll have to see how difficult SPID is to get to work, if nobody else beats me to it.
I created a first version that only gives out a Black Calian currently to all Thalmor. Once I get the hang of SPID more I will create a version for all colours that is also randomised. Link: Here
Great mod! I love playing as Altmer so I needed to have this.

From what I've gathered, a Calian serves as a representation of an Altmer's Honour and Social Standing in Altmer Society. One item description I read from a Calian in Elder Scrolls Online spoke of one being completely transparent. Another had an engraving of an eagle inside the rose-colored Calian. That engraving apparently symbolized that the owner of that Calian was someone of very high standing. I'm curious if there is anything that tells what different colors represent. Would purple be something royalty would get? Would Pink Atherquarts be given to priests? Perhaps orange for those who are craftsmen by trade?
So excited to see this! I feel this part of Altmeri culture and lore doesn't get explored enough! Might have to give Taliesin one for his personal quest! With the proper credits, of course! :D
Never downloaded something faster! This is so perfect for roleplay and immersion, I'm very excited! I'm wondering if you would consider adding a broken or shattered Calian for Apraxis mer? And not to get outside the scope of this mod, but imagine if you could gather expensive materials across Skyrim and eventually reforge your Calian with high smithing skill, that would be such a fun overarching character quest. Back to your mod, these are awesome and I'm so excited for different ways to use them. I'm bad at SPID but I'll be trying to add them where I see fit for my own game over time. Thanks so much!!!
Honestly I would love to do cracked/shattered calians! I've gotta figure out how to do the physics for it correctly in nifskope first, though, even this one gave me a headache, but when I've got the time, it should be simple enough. Added to the to-do list!
