He is wearing a doublet from Sfozinda's mod, fashions of the fourth era which I believe originated from FranklinZunge's work (possibly ported from the Witcher at some point?). His hat and boots are the vanilla 'fine' set.

I really like a lot of the outfits you've put together, thank you for sharing them!

And I agree, SPID seems like magic, is a dream to configure and not having to patch is amazing, but it is a bit inconsistent with outfits. (I'm sure it's a Skyrim engine thing) ... I'm slowing converting any SPID npc outfits I really like into record edits with a patch because I'm tired of strangely attired or naked npcs, lol.

Oh absolutely, I love SPID and it works perfectly unless outfits are involved :D hopefully powerofthree, sasnikol and the rest of the team work out why force equipping outfits causes issues. I often get npcs with no shoes :D

I'm afraid not, at present SPID is simply too inconsistent where outfits are concerned. I follow it closely and should the issue be resolved I have a distribution ini ready and raring to go :)

Understood, thanks for the quick response chief
  4. Sorry for my ignorance but what are the differences between the SPID version and the SKYPATCHER version? The question is why now I downloaded some mods that required skypatcher but normally I use SPID

No problem at all. Functionally there is no difference in theory in so far as what this mod aims to achieve, they both achieve the same thing via similar means (at least the end product is the same - no idea what happens behind the scenes :D). I am not overly technical but SPID sometimes doesn't 'work' where outfit records are concerned, in the sense that it gives the outfit to the npc and then allows the game to decide which outfit appears (at least that is my understanding from reading the SPID page) and sometimes the modded outfit loses the battle for reasons I don't rightly understand. It is why I have moved over to Skypatcher for my main files.
    2. Ah I understand, it's good to know, I'm going to try the skypatcher version.
I like these mods that diversify the clothes, I also thank you very much for the quick and clear response!

You're more than welcome. I'm enjoying making them - sharing them is the easy part :) It's nice to have found a small way to give back to a marvellous community I have taken my fair share from. It's great that so many talented authors are so generous with their permissions.

I struggled to get outfits distributed to certain NPCS with the main file (WHY!!!!)

I was HARD STUCK trying to get Uthgerd and Dreyla to recieve SPID outfits as well. Are you testing on the same save? I find that if you change SPID specifics mid save its throws distribution out of whack, for example it would give Beyond Reach's Mara priestess default college robes, which wasnt a function of any of my SPIDs (obviously, cause why would I distr vanilla mage robes lmao).

Skypatcher is great too but yeah, figured Id mention it! Not sure if new save was actually what made mine work, or if it was SPID not liking the Outfit record being pulled from the original armor esp, or a new ESP with just the Outfit record i created and paired with the DISTR ini.

I tested on new games, using more informative console I was able to determine that the correct outfit keyword was being given to the npc, but the outfit in question wasn't appearing. Due to the nature of current SPID distribution, it would appear that even with 100% chance, the game still has the ultimate say in which outfit the npc uses and it appears to be fairly random and inconsistent. Honestly came close to ripping my hair out at times :D Thanks for your comment though.
