This mod is giving me some strange textures that look very out of place in some areas. For example, in the Helgen keep:

This does not happen in my setup. It's probably a mod conflict or a buggy setting in your personal configuration.

Yes, sorry for the confusion. It was an issue with NAT 3 ENB + Lux.

If anybody else is having this issue, in your enbseries.ini under the [ENVIRONMENT] header you need to change directlightingintensityinteriorday and directlightingintensityinteriornight to 0.

First, thanks for all your mods!
Second, I have a question about the load order. If I'm using Lux, Lux Via and Lux Orbis, should your Parallax mods overwrite them or the other way around?

If you use parallaxgen it compiles all the parallax stuff and others and that overwrites everything. If not then I guess you just put this overwriting the other smim stuff and addons then have this be overwritten by lux and that

I can't get this to work no matter how hard I try. There are a lot of places with grey textures (rocks and mountains for most of it). Any tips?

You need a dynamic snow shader that works with parallax (such as Better Dynamic Snow - Definitive Edition). Not all dynamic snow mods work with parallax.

Can you please do that in the requirements. It almost drove me crazy because I didn't know what was causing the gray textures. By the way, it also works with Simplicity of Snow.

Remember, if you encounter blue'ish textures from a distance or glassy snow covered rocks:

Run ParallaxGen on your meshes (with the --upgrade-shaders argument)

I get purple textures on giant obelisks when viewed from far away. When getting nearer, the textures pop in -> see here: https://imgur.com/a/8US8TNU

When I disable the corresponding mesh file in this mod, everything is fine. What could be the problem?

It's an engine bug, I am hoping somebody will fix it. When you get close to it and it "fixes itself", it won't occur again until you save and reload your game.

Love your mods devikyn but this bug was known by the community and every parallax addon avoids it because of this

I don't see it likely to be fixed anytime soon, and its very unseemly if you actually play the game and travel a lot without fast traveling, you'll run into a bug every 2-3 minutes, especially this mod, your clutter and furniture and farmhouses have a ton of these

Basically every part of a mesh that has the parallax property and an alpha property

    Hi devikyn,

I've merged SMIM 4K - Cleaned and Upscaled Textures for Static Mesh Improvement Mod with SMIM.

Do you know if this SMIM 4K is this compatible with this parallax version?

    THANKS

is this for all things including pathways and walls? a lot of the screenshots are of items and is just like to know if I should keep my other parallax meshes on or if this works as an all in one

This has parallax for everything in SMIM, so you can consider it an AIO in that regard. You can still overwrite it with parallax from other mods if you prefer.

that is normal for parallax to do on sharp-edged objects or objects with highly curved edges. i recommend using auto parallax and disabling the parallax on the things where you spot unpleasantness

Hi, thank you for your kindness. It's my own custom preset (not released).
