Technically, you can just put only the cc content you want (to save space) and delete the rest, but if you want to be able to enable/disable any of them at any time, you'll want to put them all in there.

So, I was doing two things wrong:

      1. I had to extract the windows powershell script from the download folder.
      2. I needed to move the individual ccb... folders into the data folder itself, not in the CC Content folder. I am guessing this folder should be empty, but each of those individual ccb... files will be given a unique folder that will be left for you to find in the CC Content folder

      Hope this helps other people.

      Hi,

Your image is not loading so I am not able to see the specific errors you were facing. I do instruct users to extract to the Skyrim /Data folder in the main description page. Additionally, I provide complete instructions on how to manage the outputted files/folders with your mod manager on this page as well (instructions for both MO2 and Vortex). The "CC Content" folder within /Data WILL contain the files, but you can either copy or move the files based on the instructions provided. If you COPY, the "CC Content" folder will still contain the files which can be used for backup purposes / reversion script at a later time. If you MOVE the files, the "CC Content" folder will be empty once done, and can be removed. This step is also covered in my instructions.

Sorry for any confusion you faced.

I have the game and ae content downloaded in steam, but got no prompt about manifest files. There is only a manifest file in the /Creations folder in the Skyrim game root folder.

Don't worry about it then -- the manifest files are only valid for the Anniversary Upgrade files downloaded from the in-game store (or prompted automatically when launching the game), which contain these (Steam only). You won't see these for the 4 free CC content mods, or if you obtained the Anniversary Upgrade from some other means (such as from GOG, which is how I use them since I own the Anniversary Upgrade for that platform). The option is there to keep all of the files together but if the (matching) manifest files for the AE content is not found it will not trigger.

I did download all Anniversary files ingame from the Steam version, and I think I had those manifest files on a previous install (same way of install) so that's why I'm confused. Maybe something changed?

The script should definitely catch these then. You may want to try reverting with the revert script, then running the normal script again. overall it shouldn't matter the option is just there to keep all of the associated files together.

I got everything installed and transferred to MO2, and it looks right, but every time i try to disable one of the CC mods in MO2, I get a 'missing masters' warning, and the game CTDs when I try to run anyway.

Did I do something wrong?  If so, how do I fix?

If it helps, the only one I am trying to disable is is the Survival Mode(which I can't get to turn off in game)

You are likely using USSEP or another mod that requires survival mode as a master. Instead of disabling the plugin in MO2, you can disable the functionality altogether by using the mod Survival Mode Prompt Removed. This prevents the Survival mode popup from even occurring when starting a new game, basically nullifying its features entirely. If you have already started a game/save and have survival mode enabled you can disable it I believe from the Gameplay menus. If this option isn't working I'm not sure what to tell you other than start a new game =/

Thanks!  I will give that a try.
Edit: That combined with https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/106418 (Difficulty Persistence Fix) Solved the problem I had.  Thanks again!
