Thank you everyone for your kind words and support! It means the world to me. Hopefully we’ve turned a forgettable vanilla location into a now unforgettable one. Thanks!

    • ~ May 2nd update ~ Version 1.3

      • Simply adds small and subtle swarms of insects flying around each hanging lanterns. Special thanks to ToosTruus for this idea and adjustment!

    • ~ April 25th update ~ Version 1.2

      • Slightly toned down pond roots purple glow effect intensity.
      • Moved a marsh plant that was previously clipping with a tree root.
      • Changed out the rock cairn meshes with the drastically higher quality ones of FrankBlack’s “slightly better rock cairns”.
      • Moved the sap spigot to a more visible and accessible place. It should be easier to get the sleeping sap now.

Do you have any plans for expanding on this mod by adding animations?

Would Wintersun require a patch? It adds an activator near the Sleeping Tree to worship the Hist.

I’m not sure! That’s a good question. I’ll have to download that and test it. I’ll let you know!

      Where is the activator?

The activator covers the surrounding pond. So stepping in the pond itself should trigger.

The Wintersun mod uses it as an "altar" to worship the Hits, I haven't seen anything like that above or patches, so I guess there won't be a problem, but I have a question and maybe someone can help me.

Let me know if you figure out a solution for this! I can't find the altar either.

Hi Skyfall thanks for this amazing mod. Just a quick question though, I see you posted this file - Sleeping Hist Tree - LUX Orbis and Embers XD Patch which I've gotten with the Xelzaz + ember XD patch.
Only needed if selecting "Lux Orbis - Embers XD patch.esp" in the Lux Orbis FOMOD and if putting the "Skyfall Sleeping Tree Overhaul - Embers XD Patch.esp" before that plugin. This patch isn't needed if loading my Embers XD patch after in your LO,

I am a bit confused on what this means. I've got Skyfall sleeping hist tree, xelzaz patch + embers xd patch and the lux orbis one and then Skyfall's Sleeping Hist Tree - LUX Orbis and Embers XD Patch under the lux orbis embers xd patch which wasn't in my screenshot

This is how my esp is in mo2. Would I need the patch? Looks like I do 😕

Hi! Thanks for the question. Honestly it’s not really needed. But could be depending on your load order. I think it’s probably not needed. A kind mod user sent me the file with the clarifying message:

“So obviously its only needed if people choose the "Lux Orbis - Embers XD patch.esp" in the Lux Orbis FOMOD, which they should if using both mods, and if they put your "Skyfall Sleeping Tree Overhaul - Embers XD Patch.esp" before that plugin.”

Overal is an amazing mod, but the tree model has issues; check the pics bellow:
    https://prnt.sc/YnnRkgzFZ6-N
    https://prnt.sc/KmE3FCzDM1lO
    https://prnt.sc/8chhzW8kgctw

The mesh has broken faces, you can see large dark squares on the branches.
If you can check carefully the model and fix those, it will be fantastic.

Thanks for the report and glad you like the mod! I’ll take a look into the mesh and try to improve it further. Thanks!

      No prob.
I love this tree - and if you fix the faces and the textures loads smoothly, would be perfect.

Did you, by any chance, check the model and tried to fix those missing faces (on the bark's model)?
Thxs for you hard work and model.

      Hi there!

Sorry, no I haven’t yet had time to look into this and improve it yet. I’ve got very little free time on my hands currently but hope to work on this soon. Thanks.

    Hi,

Running from fort Greymoor towards the sleeping tree camp, the tree LoD is not visible until I reach somewhat close to the camp at which point it popups up into existence. After that its presence is consistent.
I disable this mod when running Dyndolod as it is a full LoD.

just a minor thing, thought I'd make a note

Thanks for the report and comment. Hmm that’s strange. Yeah full LOD is being used here. What if you approach the sleeping camp from another direction other than Greymoor?

I only ask as one side of the camp has a hillside that nearly blocks the whole custom sleeping hist tree from that angle. Just curious if that’s what’s occurring. Thanks!

Thanks, I shall try that and let you know soon.

Edit: I also have Wigfrids Bent Oaks that has Full LoDs and I disable both Skyfall and Wigfrids Bent Oaks when running Dyndolod.

      1) I started a new game and approached from Broken Fangs side. As you may see, the Wigfrids oak is visible

Skyfall LoD pops up when I am closer and stays up after that, even when I move farther away

Made another new game and this time approaching from Bloated Man's Grotto side, still the same experience.

Getting closer, you may see the default sleeping tree LoD that Dyndolod has created

Skyfall LoD pops up when getting closer and stays up after that

Thank you! Hmm I might but want to think of something very special. But the new nature of the wildlands 3.0 has a stunning tree model for the Gildergreen. But maybe one day I can overhaul Gildergreen and Eldergleam.

This needs to be made a Lawbringer or Skyrim Realistic Conquering location too. Now that the tree and the surrounding area looks the part, all is missing is for Argonians to move in and form a new village around it once the Dragonborn goes and clears out the giants and mammoths.
    1. I love that idea so much
