Thank you for making a good mod. But there was one problem. When you call a follower named Ravira, it CTD. Maybe it's just me. Her appearance was stretched like a chipped polygon. Is there a lack of mesh or texture?

There shouldn't be, and I tested her as well as all the others which are included. Would you by chance have another version of Ravira installed?
I'll have a look either way, just trying to get a feeling for what you have in your game: what body type do you use? Do you have racemenu or ECE/CotR? Any eye mesh replacer? Do you have Tulius hair? Physics correctly enabled? Any other particulars about your game could be helpful. Oh and did you manage to successfully summon anyone? Are you on Special Edition or Legendary Edition?

The cause is unknown, but when you call Ravira, she appears with the head gear added in the mod. This may be connected to CTD. Even though she is not set to distribute equipment, she is the only one who wears the head equipment. I think this is not your mod issue, but my personal issue.

Ok I think I understand after translating.
She has a vanilla circlet that I modded to be heavy armored. If you know SSEdit, just remove it from her inventory there. It 's under Non Player Character. If you have a pluginless circlet replacer, that may be the problem.

I was late in replying because I was at work. I summoned Ravira at home. There is a mannequin there, and the cause is unknown, but Ravira wears the same thing as the mannequin's head equipment. I suspect this is the cause of CTD. Inevitably, this head equipment will not come off when it appears, so I removed Ravira's equipment from the default outfit and stripped naked. And CTD is gone. Your mod is perfect. This was my problem. Thank you very much for the advice.

I'm glad you were able to solve it. I will make a version without the circlet. Thank you for reporting! :)

This looks amazing, I was hoping for such a mod for a while now.
I always tend to end up with the same followers in my playthrough, I installed adventurer's guild pack to have access to the summon room, but there was some instabilities and saves kept getting corrupted, whilst it work it was great though, allowing us to start 'alone' and build up a party as we adventure is great for replayability.

I do not know how ethical this is, but perhaps you could also take inspiration form this mod that allows random cards to be (quite rarely) looted off corpses, chests and containers, it also has a 'display room' which could also be interesting to store the followers you do not wish to summon yet.
Also a card retexture system to replace the scroll model could be nice too. (and yes, I realise I will probably end up spending hours upon hours creating the card models for each followers I'd add). : https://www.loverslab.com/files/file/29295-collectible-waifu-cards/

First of all, thank you so much for your appreciation!

I haven't tried that Adventurer's Guild Pack, is it a mod? Skyrim is still Skyrim, sometimes when there's too many scripts, the engine doesn't take it well, maybe that or a mod conflict the reason you had ctd? Sometimes it's something as simple as a corrupt mesh. Nothing like running a mod through Cathedral Assets Optimiser before testing and committing.

About the card retex, I checked the LL page, and the cards are gorgeous, albeight not lore-friendly, lovely illustrations.
I do like the scrolls though I wish they would open to show a screenshot of the follower, but I'll consider changing the mesh at some point.
Right now the followers I have are placed within Skyrim or Solstheim, so you'll be able to find them as you play the game as well, but I may add a large interior space at some point, to both act as a player home (a guild maybe?) and meeting place with followers, and probably a new land space to drop other NPC into (the hostile type). I'll also add more randomness to what you can get, some custom gear, some useless stuff, that sort of thing. Right now it's mostly followers though.

Thank you so much for your suggestions!

After playing with it for a bit and adding a new follower, I realised that the NPCs the scrolls summon are also present in the world (looks like you answered that just as I was typing this message),

May I suggest an optional version where all the NPCs are in a new 'empty' cell and not present in the world, making the scrolls the only way to have access to them?

Great work on this mod nevertheless.

The adventure guild is part of a modpack (lots of requirements) based on Honeypopcorn overhaul, it's mostly a korean mod which might be why it caused corrupted saves (and CDT on certain quests) : https://arca.live/b/tullius/36283037?category=%EB%AA%A8%EB%93%9C&target=all&keyword=daisic&p=1

but what I really liked from it was the summon room (think made by Daisic, the person behind the Modern Scroll mod), you can find more information there : https://arca.live/b/tullius/103034297?category=%EB%AA%A8%EB%93%9C&target=all&keyword=daisic&p=1

the system use a mechanism that consume tokens you find in the world (chests/strong enemies) and the result is randomly taken from a list in which you can add followers/weapons/joke items (ugly follower, cow, sweetroll, etc...).

Also regarding the cards, I suggested those in order to tell scrolls appart (and add a lil flavor), but the scroll mechanic works great.
Just in case here is another template from the koreans: https://arca.live/b/tullius/101826814?category=%EB%AA%A8%EB%93%9C&target=all&keyword=card&p=1 could be interesting since they show a guide on how to edit said cards, never used them so dunno how those turn out.

      Thanks for all your input!

About the follower locations, I kind of understand what you're saying, but frankly I'm a bit on the fence about having them only accessible from the scrolls. I will compromise though, I will keep these accessible through exploration but will add new followers that can only be found by way of scrolls (something like having SR followers around but not UR followers). How does that sound?

I am planning to make a version in which they're not essential as well, but I still need time to work on how that plays out.

And yes, what I'm working on is that exact concept of randomness, so that you don't just get a beautiful companion when you pull. My primary focus is to add danger to pulling, you only get a taste right now but I really want to add to it. It'll take a bit working on all this though.

If you find interesting guild houses available as modder's resource, share them here please (you can also join my discord or PM me if you like).

Please do not see my suggestions as requests, no compromises have to be made. I understand that you have a vision for this mod and in no way am I trying to drag you away from it.

That being said, having different "pools" with different rarities could be interesting (having some follower/enemies/items rarer than others).

No worries, I appreciate your inputs.

Yeah I still need to test things out and expand the mod, but I'm also interested in implementing different rarities. About your suggestions, I really like Azura's Dawn, except it's not open perms, só I can't work with it for this. I'll do some research on Nexus when time allows. :)

    Safe to install mid game?

It should be safe, just make sure to save your running game then test it - try exploring a few dungeons or warlock forts to find a couple of scrolls among the spoils - before committing.
I'm not entirely sure how the engine handles the addition of levelled list additions mid-through, so please, do test AFTER backing up your save properly, and don't commit until you're certain that it's working for you and that it's not messing up any other mod in your list that edits levelled lists. If you're unsure about this mod though, just browse through my mods and you'll find several of the followers I included here, plus others which weren't included. Those, unless otherwise stated, won't interact with anything in your game. I hope this is helpful and clear.

I see you are appreciative of the finest cultured mods on the Nexus - I mean Yuriana in this case ;)
Have a look at my custom stuff, although not as buxom, it might still be interesting to you.

AN IDEA COULD BE INSTEAD OF THE PLAYER COMING ACROSS OR FINDING NPC THE NPC IS IN A CAMOFLAUGED POSITION FIRING ARROWS AT THE PLAYER AND NEVER HITTING THEN THE DIALOGUE CAN START,  :-)---
