What is Wheels of Fate?
During your travels, you can randomly loot certain scrolls (Scrolls of Fateful Encounter) from certain enemies and chests that when used will either summon a custom female follower to your side (you will need to recruit them, otherwise they leave), do nothing, or summon someone/something else.
The custom NPC are in Skyrim somewhere, so you can also find them immersively throughout the land.
Inspiration:
I'm making this mod with a strong inspiration in Gacha mechanics.
I've been developing this for the last year and a half where time allows, and still mean to add a lot to it.
All the custom followers make use of YOUR installed skin and body shape for females.
Changelog:
0.6 BETA makes an adjustment to the Scrolls of Fateful Encounter leveled list, adding more randomness (now you won't get a scroll with as much certainty, you might get other items instead), adds 10 NPC to the scrolls - 8 are friendly - Haley, Svashni, Pristina, Galadriel, Nicci and Ri-chan, plus Jordis and Sylgja (Jordis, like Lydia, will only appear after she has been activated through becoming Thane of Solitude) -, the other two are hostile (won't disclose which they are, you'll need to find out when you pull on a scroll). Added custom modeled sword, battleaxe, warhammer and shield (Nord Dovah Weapons by billyro), added some equipment, like Ri-chan's katana, Morgan's full equipment set and Uien's armor set. Added miscellaneous items which might or might not be useful. In total there are now 70 loot possibilities from the leveled list, and about 30 possibilities for pulling, 6 of them take you to a hostile or vanilla character encounter.
Tweaks to a couple of characters (Ri-chan now has Vampire keyword and I removed the leftover spawn point at Movarth's Lair, plus I removed all instances of vanilla overlays from NPC records so to not weigh on the engine).
0.5 BETA adds an NPC - Abigale the Stealth Archer - to the world.
0.3 BETA adds two new NPC to the world, one is friendly and the other not so much.
A couple of important pieces of information:
- This mod makes changes to vanilla levelled lists (only adding objects), I tried my best to keep the edits as minimal as possible, but around 10 levelled lists have been edited. If you have other mods that edit the same, you'll most probably need a bashed patch or something of the sort. This is untested in that respect, so I appreciate feedback on it (I won't use SPID to remake this though, so don't bother asking for it).
- If you have other followers made by me, you'll NEED to test thoroughly for conflicts between relevant plugins (check in xEdit when possible, for instance if you have Adventures of the North Vol. 1, or Kaisa and Imperial Posse in any version, you won't want to install this mod).
Incompatible with:
- The spoiler part above includes links to the original mods I included, that are incompatible with this mod, only look if you have other followers from me, since part of the fun in this mod is to either discover them or pull for them.
- I won't add characters from other modders UNLESS they specifically ask me to and I am interested in doing so (this is possible through my Discord server).
- I have big big plans for this mod, I mean to add quite a lot of content - new locations, new gear, more heroines, many enemies and creatures -, so at some point it will necessarily have to stop being an ESPFE. Right now it is, so enjoy.
- I won't make patches for town/area overhaul mods that make changes to interior cells. Don't bother asking.
- The screenshots I'm adding are only a few, I'll add more as time allows (and screenarchers generously share their work), so please bear with me.
