2023 January Update: Greets everyone. 0.5 is finaly released. Added a few more clothing to the mod as refittable, and an internal signature that shows the mod is mine.
I just want to say, thank you all for the interest of this mod. Its true goal is to allow people to use the vanilla armors with a unique body-type that isnt affecting the originals, but without using the complicated process of a SKSE mod needs. Its both performance and stability friendly and im happy that people warm up to it.
I will continue to support this mod as long as there are fans out there.
Could this be used for modded armors like BD 3BA armor and clothes raplacer :https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/32518?tab=files&file_id=207237 so it just applies to the playable character and not the NPC?
Been trying thus far without success so if it is indeed possible then the limitation is my lack on competence.
In theory yeah. If the Nif files are the same names then my mod sould be able to use them. You need to move the generated files from that mod into Sashas Refitter folder, so the files and folders are there similar to how most replacers do it, so that folders like armors, clothes, dlc01 and dlc02 are in Sashas Refitter folder.
Tho considering there is a esp file included with that mod, it makes me curious what changed they did. Still worth a shot. Check one of the screenshots for instruction and try to replicate it but using the mod you linked and see if it works.
Also, very important, this will NOT refitt for you automaticly, you have to go to a smithing station and refitt it yourself.
So i apologize for taking so long but i had to try until all hopes were extinguished before saying on the situation.
I managed to use your mod in order to have the proper skins for my character only which was nice however there are two major problems i could not work around:
The first proible is that refitting an armor negate all effects that is present on the pieces i found, which is a bit annoying when you find a good piece of gear.
The second and most annoying is the fact that any refitted armor is not holding the body preset or the morph of my character. I suspect i might be the one messing up on that part but after trying many, many things i could not figure it out.
The good news is for those sticking to only a single body shape, your mod does work with the BD armor replacer but is negated only if used in conjunction with weight alternating mod (winter weight for survival mode in my case).
I fear to make this work it would take modder magic but i am lacking on that gift...
I moslty made the mod to use 100% weight on the slider since it was easier to work with. And refitting usualy makes any upgrades (Such as from smithing or enchantment) vanish. That is due to the fact that the mod technicly ''crafts'' a new piece of an item, and for that reason, i made a warning in the description to refitt the armors first before you do any upgrades.
Hey! This mod worked and was super easy to get working. I love it. I'm having an issue though. I'm running the Immersive Armors mod and I have both the base meshes for all the NPCs and my personal meshes in the correct places but I don't have the option to refit them. Is there a fix? What am I doing wrong? Edit: the vanilla clothes aren't showing up either. RIP
My mod was specificly made for the vanilla armors. Immersive Armors mod adds seperate armors that my mod doenst touch nor interact with. If my modding creativity comes back i could technicly make a patch but not sure when i be able to get around making it tho.
Just chiming in to say I'd love for Immersive Armor compatibility! Trying so hard to get a Unique Player femboy working in game with vanilla and IA without flattening all the females in game and this seems like the closest thing to a solution, but only covering half of the armors I'd like working is tough.
When i get my modding mood back on track, i defintly try my hand on making a Immersive Armors Patch. usualy with that mod, what i do is to prevent NPCs from using them (You can disable that in the Mod Menu by removign the distribution). If you want both you and npcs to use them, yeah you have to wait for me to make the said patch.
Also, we could definitly use more femboys for Skyrim (Even made one myself in the past) .w.
Didn't work for me, it is compatible with AE? I did exactly as the 4th photo of the gallery and, using a mod explorer, only armors appear not clothes.
I was trying to use this for a male character using HIMBO, transferred every vanilla and dlc male armor and clothes from the main directory to the sasha Refitter folder and the outfits still look vanilla, not with the custom shape I gave them.
for now, only female armors and clothing work. In the future i might be adding for males too, if my modding creativity can return.
Strange how only armor appears tho. The next update, if i managed to get my gear into action, i see if i can release a new version. The male version will take some time tho.
There is a saying *If there is a will, there is a way.* and i myself, wasnt able to find such a mod that was simple, but effective, so i made it myself .w.
I sadly have to say no. I have plans on continuining this mod at some point and i rahter want full controll over it myself. Besides, from time to time as i play skyrim, im adding one piece of armor or clothing when i get the energy for it.
ok you explained the meshes, but what about the textures? Lets say i want the forswornarmor to be white, how do i make it player exclusive? forswornsarmor is also used by the npc of course, but lets say i want that same outfit but only to be white on my character?
I havent done anything texture wise with the refitting. I have only made it so they all use unique models, not textures. altouhg you could edit that stuff yourself with Nifscope or Outfit Studio, but that be tedious.
It would require me to make a patch so that the armors can be refitted the same way but as of now, i have no plans to do. Maybe in teh future i might do it
This for me is the best mod to solve this type of problem. There are other mods that do this, but yours, in my opinion, does it in the best way. I hope you will be able to find time to add all the clothes and armor.
As of now real life have been kicking my face alot, so modding hasnt been in my best interest, but i really do love to get back into it. Once the fire is back, i will continue with adding more armors and clothing.
The idea was similar, but at the time when i made my mod, SKSE wasnt even made for Special Edition, but i decdied to keep going to update it, as it will offer a much more compadible mod that doenst wreak your save file with scripts.
From waht i understand with the mod you linked, it works with a script to replace models for the player, atloguh personaly i never got that very mod to work myself, so i made this mod instead. It also make a little more sense roleplaying wise where you need to refitt armors manualy.
Hello, thanks for the mod, I was looking for something like this for a good time so I thank you, I would love to see in the future support for clothes too
Thank you for the nice comment, much appriciated. I do have plans on covering clothing as well, but doing so on the armors was quite draining. Defintly in the future one day i complete it and adding the rest of the clothing as refittable.
I have this mod ( https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/3006?tab=description ) and now I'm looking for a possibility to adapt all the armor and clothes for my Heroine.
