Changelogs
The new crossbows added by the Creation Club content bundled with the Anniversary Edition make the crossbows in Legendary Skyrim Crossbows almost entirely obsolete. This mod attempts to reintegrate them in a lightweight manner, as well as modify some of the other Creation Club content to make it consistent with the naming conventions used for arrows and bolts in Legendary Skyrim Crossbows. Note that this mod makes no actual changes to Legendary Skyrim Crossbows, only to the Creation Club content, so it can be used without it if you so choose for whatever reason.

Renamed Content

Crossbows
All Creation Club crossbows have been renamed to be "Elite" variants. The designation for enhanced crossbows has been moved to the end of the name. Descriptions for enhanced crossbows were also removed. Imperial crossbow renamed to Steel Crossbow (see rebalancing section for details).

Rebalanced Content

Crossbows
In comparison to their counterparts of the same material type in Legendary Skyrim Crossbows, the Elite Crossbows cost 15% more to purchase, weigh 25% lighter, deal 10% less standard damage, deal 3 points of extra critical hit damage, and fire silently like bows. Overall, this means they do less damage on standard attacks but more damage on critical hits than their standard counterparts, all while being lighter and sneakier. Note that the Imperial Crossbow was renamed and rebalanced to be the "Elite Steel" crossbow because faction crossbows in Legendary Skyrim Crossbows do not have enhanced variants, and the Imperial Crossbow fit appropriately as an "Elite" counterpart for the Steel Crossbows found in Legendary Skyrim Crossbows. Additionally, the Elite Silver Crossbows were given the Silver Sword effect just like their counterparts in Legendary Skyrim Crossbows.

Below is the full breakdown of the new stats, divided as standard/enhanced, for the Elite crossbows.

Rare Curios
Because the Rare Curios creation contains its own versions of the Iron, Orcish, and Silver bolts that are identical in stats to the equivalent versions in Legendary Skyrim Crossbows, I rebalanced them to be "high quality" versions of their respective materials. They are now twice as expensive both to purchase and to craft, effectively requiring twice the number of materials per bolt. They do two extra points of damage compared to their standard counterparts in exchange, effectively placing them in the next material tier if you're willing to invest the resources. I also removed the Dawnguard questline requirement for crafting them and forwarded the USSEP fixes for their worldspace audio, so no conflicts there.

Their stats are now as follows:
Spoiler:
Show

  • Bolt - Quality Iron
    • Damage: 10
    • Value: 2
    • Crafting: 1 Iron Ingot + 1 Firewood (12 Bolts)
  • Bolt - Quality Orcish
    • Damage: 14
    • Value: 5
    • Crafting: 1 Orichalcum Ingot + 1 Firewood (12 Bolts)
  • Bolt - Quality Silver
    • Damage: 12
    • Value: 4
    • Crafting: 1 Silver Ingot + 1 Firewood (12 Bolts)

Load Order and Compatibility

Place this patch as low in your load order as possible. Please note that the popular Legacy of the Dragonborn mod has a patch for the Creation Club content that renames the "Bone Arrows" from Arcane Archer to "Dragonpiercer Arrows". Either load this patch after that Legacy patch or manually add it to your bashed patch as an override. Otherwise this patch should conflict with practically nothing, unless you have another mod rebalancing the Creation Club content, in which case you should load this patch after that mod.
