I love this handy thing. Have it in two WJ lists now. My only request would be to add some open text boxes on the screen for some explanation of things. Would be REAL handy. Any chance?
Hello dear mod author, I love this mod and have endorsed it! As a MKB/Gamepad user, I find it very useful. Since I play with a gamepad, I use the new Tween Menu Overhaul and would like to integrate your mod into it (for my game, and maye be other) for gamepad access. Could you help me determine the trigger event or the code I need to enter to make this work?
I can't seem to get it to. The MCM loads but the hotkey doesn't work. Because I'm on 1.5, I have to use the MCM Helper 1.5 backpor, and there was another post here where you said it requires the latest version of MCM Helper.
Can I re-map the "Share" button (screenshot button) on an Xbox Series controller? That's the main thing I wanna use this mod for. Thanks for the awesome mod in the meantime though!!
Been looking for something like this for a while. I'm old and if I put the game down for a week, I have no idea where anything is. This is really well designed, too.
What's the lift involved in making a version for K/M with one of the MMO mice instead of a controller?
I am having the dumbest problem. I copied hotkeysreminder_default.json to hotkeysreminder_data.json. Press F11 and just the blank keyboard comes up. Also, I can't get any of the keys to edit. My controller is off, I disabled the controller setting and disabled Auto Input switch. I have the pre-reqs.
I checked the load order and the esp is at the very bottom of the list.
Any insight would be very helpful. This should work!
Please reinstall the mod to fix the issue. You don't need to copy anything manually, the mod loads the default.json file only if the data.json file has not been created yet. The mod does this for you.
Thanks for the reply. I have it working on two other list that essentially have the same base. This is failing on is one I have modified. Probably something I did so it doesn't pick up any .json files or allow editing. Just can't figure out what. In any event, its a great mod.
I ran into a small issue with being unable to close the menu with Esc although I'm unsure how to replicate it though. (may be caused due to using Auto Input Switch and having both KB+M and a Gamepad connected) I was unable to close it with the controller though.
EDIT: I just ran into this issue without a gamepad connected. Not sure what's up with that. EDIT2: After connecting the controller I was able to press Esc. If you're interested I'll test it more thoroughly and will let you know how to reproduce it.
I can now consistently exit the menu but another issue popped up unfortunately. It's not a big deal but if you use both controller and m+kb (with auto input switch) the cursor doesn't appear, making it impossible to edit hotkeys or view combos. I understand that this is an issue caused by another mod but I thought I'd mention it anyway.
Thank you very much again for this, it'll truly elevate the experience of my modlist! <3
@IxionXVII @shazdeh2, the issue with Auto Input Switch can be circumvented by temporarily disabling the controller in the options menu, assigning your hotkeys to this mod in it's UI, then reactivating the controller when you're done. :D Confirmed, it is a slight issue tho since it does remove the cursor in this mod's UI if a controller is detected.

It should look something like this:
{
"skseName":"Hotkey Reminder Menu",
- OR -
"papyrus_event": "ShowHotkeyReminderMenu",
"menuName":"KOTKEYS",
"icon":"map",
"priority": 100,
"category": "bottom"
}

I had not tested with Auto Input Switch. I think I know what's causing that. This will be fixed in the next update.
Thank you very much for looking into it!

And thank you, it's very much appreciated :)
Underrated mod, it's so helpful, hope it will be easy to make it compatible with auto input switch.
