Q: Patcher doesn't work for me. A: Try running it just for Skyrim.esm and DLC files. If it works, then your configuration is ok, but one of your esp files has bad records. Often you will see an error in xEdit log, that will help you to determine a broken esp. But sometimes xEdit won't give you this information. In this case you to uncomment debugLogging line before running patch. Like here http://imgur.com/a/3qTEh After that you will get detailed log in the xEdit Messages tab. When you determine the culprit, you can clean/remove bad records in xEdit or simply stop using that plugin.
If you encounter any problem with vanilla ESMs, ALWAYS enable debugLogging and give me it! Otherwise I will not be able to help you.
Just want to say thanks to the mod author for both this mod and for Realistic Weights - endorsed both. For those who haven't created patches before using SSEEdit (like me), here's what I did, and it wasn't too difficult -- the mods are worth the bit of extra effort (hope I did it right, but I do see the price and weight changes in the game). You will go through step 8-15 twice if you are installing both True Medieval Economy and True Realistic Item Weights SSE.
1. Download SSEEdit: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/164 2. Download MXPF: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/68617 3. Extract both, then copy the Edit Scripts folder from MXPF into the SSEEdit folder overwriting anything there 4. Install Weapons Armor Clothing and Clutter Fixes with your mod manager: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/18994 5. Install True Soldiers - Guards Stormcloak and Imperial Legion Armors Fix with your mod manager: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/11250 6. Download the True Medieval Economy and/or True Realistic Item Weights SSE. 7. Extract the .pas files from TME/TRIW into the Edit Scripts folder in SSEEdit 8. Run SSEEdit and select OK for all mods -- let everything load 9. Once everything is loaded, look for the WACCF_BashedPatchLvlListFix.esp entry on the left panel -- it is the one created by Weapons Armor Clothing and Clutter Fixes. 10. Right click on WACCF_BashedPatchLvlListFix.esp and select Apply Script. A window will open. 11. Look in the dropdown list for True Medieval Economy and/or True Realistic Item Weights and select the one you want to make the patch for 12. Click OK, and let the script run. It will prompt you to create a name for the patch -- either TME or TRIW. 13. Once complete, you will see the new patch over in the left panel in bold -- either TME.esp or TRIW.esp 14. Save from the menu in the top left corner of SSEEdit -- the patch is saved and enabled. 15. Once you're done creating one or both patches, you can disable the WACCF_BashedPatchLvlListFix.esp plugin in your mod manager, since that is now handled by the patch(es).
Hope this helps anyone who wants to try these out, and feel free to correct any mistakes I made!
It's been awhile but I have switched over to True Renaissance Economy -- it's a bit more realistic on the gold values I think. It uses a zEdit patch which is a bit easier. Someday I hope we'll see a Synthsis patch.
It is worth noting that you MUST ADD the WACCF_BashedPatchLvlListFix.esp optional file when doing step [4] in order for it to be present for step [9], for any who may not have noticed this as they went and run into troubles as a result. Dbl chk that you turned it on in [4]s FOMOD installer options if u r uncertain.
Anyone else came across the SSEEdit error: "Error during Applying script "True Medieval Economy": Only 0 of 1 masters could be added. Master list now contains 253 entries and is full." when trying to reinstall the mod? How did you get around the problem?
too many masters my load order can't accommodate, either... I have to edit the script for each record type, comment out all types but one if still too many masters, load half your order and try again, and again with other half if successful then load both generated patches and their masters only, you should then be able to generate a single patch, instead, if you wish flag as ESL when done, verify records are to your liking the same applies to True Realistic Item Weights if you use it
So I just wanted to say, while testing it out. I really like how it edits the prices, prices themselves are more realistic and it really dosent make game any harder, i actually have more money than in vanilla game, it’s just the little things, like seeing spell time costing 8k instead of 400. Breezehome was I think 12k.
I’m using also loot scarcity, trade routes, loot and degeneration. I highly recommend this mod, not for difficulty but just for immersion.
By killing dragon ? you are looking at 10k, so maybe it’s smart to put mod like deadly dragons as well, since vanilla dragon die so easily, this will be my next test.
Edit: Oh.. only bad side is the plugin limit, my load order grew and now i can't run the script anymore.
I have 517 plugins using MO2. Just select half your mods in SSEdit and run TME. After creating the TME.esp into a mod from MO2's overwrite folder, rename the TME.esp MO2 created to "TME 1st half.esp". Run the patcher again, selecting the previously unselected plugins from the first time around. Rename the created TME.esp mod to TME 2nd half.esp. Merge TME 1st half.esp with TME 2nd half.esp to TME Merged.esp or whatever name you want to give you merge use ZEdit (ZMerge). (Don't forget to exit MO2 and then restart MO2 to get your merge to show up in your mod list)
I'm new to modding and found TME wasn't working because of the bashed patch (even when loading TME after him it doesn't work). Valtyr, When you say to apply the TME script and remove Leveled Lists, did you mean to remove them in MO2 after activating the TME esp, or to apply the TME script to everything except leveled lists in Xedit ?
I had a ton of mods when I last used this, and I don't remember exactly how I merged the lists, but I typically have multiple merges, and I merge the leveled lists by hand, then Bash all that's left over. I think I put this after the bashed patch, but I forgot exactly.
I'm coming back to this mod for the next playthrough. It has some more excellent aspects for a particular type of playthrough.
What can I say, its simply a must have mod for me. Been using it since it's release. Very simple, very easy to tweak. And if a mod adds something that goes haywire, very easy to simply open up the TME.esp in the editor and fix it. Even made a "patch" for it in my garbage batchfile mod. Simply needed for me to get into proper immersive mode.
Okay, I've been trying to create patches both for TME and TRIW, and the patcher seems to work. I don't get any errors with SSEdit. But Vortex keeps telling me that the TRIW.esp is not a valid plugin. Anyone else have this problem?
i'm not seeing a change in the value of items, i ran the patcher, have the esp at the end of my load order, started a new game. i'm not sure what else to try

However, when I click Apply Scripts/True Medieval Economy/Apply Scripts I get this error
Cannot Open File "C:\Users\****\Desktop\sseEdit 4.1.5f\Edit Scripts\lib\mxpf.pas". The system cannot find the path specified.
What did I do wrong? I'm guessing something isn't where it should be, or something is where it shouldn't be.
FYI, I'm using sseEdit through MO2.
EDIT: NM, forgot to download MXPF. Working now :)

10/10.
This mod is outdated, use TRE.
