It's incompatible with the standalone SRC for Cracked Tusk, which is not hard to fix - pick one - and also for the AIO, which is a bigger problem. I want to keep both, so I'll try to patch SRC's AIO to disable the Cracked Tusk part.
Even if you are using SRC AIO, you do not need to do anything because cracked tusk keep will not be clearable and you will not be able to claim it. So it won't have any effect. I used it together and it worked normally.
Ever since I installed this mod, on a new game, every time I sleep for the first time in the new save an orc, named Cracked Tusk Warrior, is standing over my head after I wake up. Doesn't matter if it's in wilderness or in an inn. He's always there. Doesn't have any interactions bar standard phrases all orcs have. It creeps me out.
I check every time with More Informative Console, he's definitely added by Cracked Dusk Stronghold.esp. I am using Lite version.
Hello! Probably late to chime in, but I have researched a lot about this too, and much like boss Schlitzohr, to no avail. However, I did try the suggested solution from boss jayserpa, labeled "Orc Stalker fix" in the files tab, and though it works, it also prevents Durak of the Dawnguard DLC from showing up when he is supposed to. The quest just suddenly starts at the corresponding level, even if he didn't have a conversation with you. Just sharing. Hopefully one of the greats finds a solution soon. 😁
1. I arrive in Falkreath and talk to the innkeeper. 2. She hands me an undroppable item that says it weighs 20lbs (though it's actually weightless) item to deliver to Cracked Tusk Keep. 3. Nobody at Cracked Tusk Keep will talk to me---or accept the item. If the orcs want to be xenophobic and still trade, they could have a box for it, like Klimmek with the Graybeards.
I'm now wondering how this affects the Boethiah Quests, since you're sent to kill her Champion by the Chief's mother. Any clues? I have Boethiah for Good Guys and the Quest Expansion, which haven't triggered yet due to level requirements.
EDIT: Well, I have a problem when heading to kill the Champion of Boethiah for this quest. Every time it crashes as I make my way up the path. I haven't even gotten past the turn in the path. I kill a troll on the path, then as I move further, the screen blurs, and I get the message that I have completed the quest and to return to hand the quest in. Fine - so a troll is Champion? But I cannot move from that point on. I'm frozen in that spot, and cannot even shift into or out of Stealth. And if I fast travel somewhere. I'm still unable to move. So at this point, the mod has become unplayable (and I have had to go back to saves made before I head up the path to be able to play).
Has this occurred to anyone else? Any ideas as to why it is happening? Or is this caused by the other Boethiah quest mods that I mentioned above? I notice that the mod author hasn't been responding to anything over the past few months either.
Ok. using TCL I made my way up to the Sacellum. It seems that the Champion is in combat, and gets slain by other cult members, which then triggers the whole warp screen effect as I described in my edit. So, I don't know what is going on here, but there is no way to complete the quest line.
Could you add a patch to make it compatible with: Imperial Castles of Skyrim - Fort Battlements v2 and Nature of the Wild Lands, I love your design of cracked tusk keep, it actually fits very well with the lore and game, especially how you integrated the orcish roof on the left tower, but the other mods are obstructing it. Also would it be possible to add stairs to the same tower and have some of the orcs sitting there ?
I've been doing various quests for those orcs, however there is one nitpick. Whenever I am to bring something to Hartgar, I have to use tcl to climb up the air and be able to speak to him. There doesn't seem to be any way of reaching up to his cage from the ground. The ladder can't be climbed, jumping will not reach enough to activate him, and none of the nearby furniture can be jumped on to gain height. He's just too high and out of reach. And I am using a character with 1.05 height, so quite tall.
That would be cool there just so little orc stuff. I like to play a Stronghold orc and just doing normal quest turns you into a city orc. I only use orc companions and use orc player homes.

I'm going to try the light version and hope it works since I really like Cracked Tusk.

Am I missing something obvious?
But I would like to add a few orc specific dialogue options in the future.
