Still have nocturnal's curse even after destroying the key. Xbox version. The curse itself wouldn't bother me, but now everyone comments about the dangerous looking magic and that can cause problems with people you brawl with, since you aren't supposed to use magic in a brawl. Unfortunately, this is potentially game breaking and I'll probably have to remove the mod and hope it doesn't break my save file.
other than author's point for getting the updated version, for your own sake use RDO updated to remove this trash vanilla effect, in modded game this should be one of the first things you would fix. even if not for this mod there are tons of other random things in skyrim making npcs tell you it's dangerous magic, you look rather pale lob lob lob. all of this is easily fixed by RDO updated, go into it's mcm and turn all those generic comments off
I'm hoping they see the comment here, though that is a longshot. For reasons beyond my understanding, bethesda doesn't allow comments on the mods listed on their site.
since the first time I played skyrim in early days in my youth I always wanted a way to be the owner of skeleton key and it was bugging me that I had to return it to complete the questline although you made it so hard for us man with all options being as good including getting help of stendars and freeing nightingales so I don't even know which option to choose. probably should save beforehand and try it all :))

Anyone else having the glitch where Nocturnal just keeps repeating "Hand me the Key"? The mod is up to date, so I don't understand what's going on. I keep trying to make the choice to free the nightingales. But even if I choose other options, nothings proceeds.
Anyone know the quest I'd so I can try to fix maybe?
