Landscape Fixes For Grass Mods is a soft requirement. Cathedral already removes most instances of grass where grass is not supposed to be used. LFGM takes it a step further by clearing unsettled areas and really helps with modded areas since the grass records often get reverted through patching. Using the main file should help clear up other areas that are not covered by Cathedral. As for the generic grass limiter, there is a specific mention of Skoglendi on the LFGM page. So to answer your question, use both.
You have to download the requirements and maintain your load order. Bruma uses whatever grass you have installed but it was intended to be used with vanilla grass. Any grass mod will make the grasses in Bruma clip through objects unless you can find patches or run No Grass In Objects. Getting that to run is a whole other story.

I've wandered around a bit, but haven't found any notable bugs yet.
There is some grass tiling in the volcanic areas. Im working on a fix.
