Keep volume feedback thread to ONE comment thread. Every mod I release is louder than vanilla and as a result I have a lot of private messages and comments about it. While it's completely valid feedback and I recognise that until I release a full magic sound pack (Which is coming as soon as I finish the rest of the mods!) that the ISC magic slider will cause some audio to be either too loud or too quiet, It's a little tiring to see constantly, especially given as being slightly louder than vanilla is the idea behind what I'm doing. I don't like quiet, impactless audio effects, I like to feel it in my bones.
There are some known bugs with audio mods that are as a result of incorrect or edited sound descriptors. Please use xEdit to check that your installed spell mods do not change descriptors before you comment about inconsistent sound effects.
I do not take requests other than from mod authors. All magic sounds will be complete in the future, as will hopefully be audio replacers for the various magic mods available on the Nexus.
Even if my mods are too loud for your preference, this is not an excuse to break Nexus rules and to reupload my entire mod. My permissions are closed for a reason.
If you have a criticism of my mod that you want to tell me you are welcome to say it in the comments; and if I agree then I'll change it. But they're my mods; and if you don't like it you're welcome to change that in your own game but without permissions you're not welcome to share anything that involves my audio files.
seeing as the post thread was deleted im gonna say it here: if you dont like the pride flags it really is not my problem. either download it or don't, just don't whinge about your political views on MY mods in the comment sections. any future comments about pride flags will result in you being blocked from my comment sections and reported to nexus staff.
Deleting dialog topics is better to avoid, if at all possible. I recommend using the IsPS3=1 or GetPlayerLevel < 0 condition instead and then not deleting the topics. An example is below. I updated your plugin for myself, I am happy to send it to you or for you to update it on your own.
Copy the relevant 10 dialog topics from Skyrim.esm as override into a new ESL plugin (your patch).
Load your patch as active file into the CK and go to Edit -> Find Text.
Write the first phrase, i.e. Dir volaan!, into the search text field and hit Find Text.
You'll find this line under info text in the same window. Double-click it.
A new window will pop up, showing all 10 dialog topics - with Dir volaan! highlighted. Double-click it.
Again, a new window will pop up. Go to the section Conditions.
Right click the existing conditions and delete them.
Create a new condition as follows: under Condition Function, scroll down to IsPS3, select it and hit OK.
Then hit OK in the Topic Info window and also in the Quest: DialogueDraugr window. You will be back in the Text Search window.
Repeat the steps above for the remaining dialog topics, except for the one with the laughter (Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha!)
Close the Text Search window.
Go to File -> Save and then exit the CK.
To ensure, LOOT loads your patch after this mod: load aptrgangr.esp and your patch into SSEEdit and add aptrgangr.esp as Master to your patch. Alternatively, you can establish a relevant rule in LOOT for your patch.
Of course, I forgot to mention (at least) one thing: in the dialog topic with the laughter (Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha!), pentapox changed the value for Reset Hours from 0.2 to 0.1. To be in line with his mod, you should carry over the value from Aptrgangr to your patch or edit it manually.
I understand your concern. My personal suggestion is to install Wavosaur and you can use the commands to lower the volume, as if you use something like Audacity it can cause the loop-points to reset which will cause issues with any looping sounds (I think the breathing loop has loop points). Just don't re-upload the files as I've had a few people upload my entire mods with reduced volume lol.
if people are uploading quieter versions of your mods without permission, maybe you should just re-upload their files on your own mod page as optional downloads, rather than taking them down completely.
I understand your artistic decision to make the sounds loud af, (and I know this is modding, not commercial game design) but I personally still think it's good design to consider your audience. People obviously like your sounds, but there's a clear demand for quieter versions.
If I were you I would make two versions for people to choose from.
Your sounds are beautiful, pentapox! But providing options for vanilla-level volume (and/or volume sliders) would do wonders, I think. It's one thing that's stopped me from using some of your overhauls, because I want to make sure everything is equalized.
This mod is fundamentally broken in so many ways that are intolerable. It will scream in your ears when you pause the game, Bring up the console or any sort of menu. Like what. Something like that would have any other author pulling their mod down.
It was included in a wabbajack list IDK why.
The author has acknowledged the issues and instead of fixing them has decided to effectively tell the community to shut up about it lol.
Thank god it wasn't tied to anything else in the wabba list because I would have thrown the whole game away over this mods issues.
I have no idea why the f*#@ my mod would cause those problems. I've never had any of them and no one has ever reported a bug about it. I play with this mod installed and have done since I made it; any bugs that wabbajack list had with this mod was related to compatibility issues and not my mod.
Aptrgangr does nothing to do with menus or consoles, all it does is replace the sound effects Draugr use and disable their voicelines. Please actually look inside the mod before you make accusations.
Nothing to complain, just wanted to stop by to leave a comment on how awesome your work is, Pentapox. To be honest, your SFX, both Weapon/Spells and Creatures, are the best I ever heard in a video game. Satafinix Work is awesome too, but yours is just the best. Nothing has more oomph, is crunchier or more badass. Playing the game with these sounds just rocks, and I really appreciate this. Dont want to sound like a fanboy lol, but like others said, the sound is just phenomenal. Really outstanding work here. To anyone who didnt download already : Do it right now. Every single mod here is a game changer. So yeah, thank you. Thats all i wanted to say. Have a nice day everyone! :D
This is a phenomenal sound pack. Love how the draugr sound now. It's very reminiscent of the northmen enemies from Hellblade. Was that an influence by any chance? https://youtu.be/0tqKhHv0pbo?si=38aGN_FnPrJfKmLq
