??? This mod is already a vanilla replacer. All chairs from this mod are vanilla replacers, that replace the vanilla noblechair02.nif mesh. Or do you mean a standalone replacer without the ESP plugin?
I want to use your chair replacers (they look fantastic!), but I have a concern about compatibility. Some mods (Rigmor of Bruma is one example) require the player to sit in a specific chair to progress the quest. What happens if the chair pointed to by the quest mod has been Base Object Swapped?
Absolutely nothing will happen. Your character will sit on the chair from this mod in the same way as on the vanilla chair. This mod is fully compatible with everything and doesn't require patches. My mod change only vanilla chairs, it don't touch any unique chairs from other mods.
Thank you for the BOS version. I checked them in game and they look as beautiful as in the pictures you uploaded.
One small thing, which is very subjective and it's only a personal opinion. The Halffaces_NobleChair_Pillow (the one that is of a much lighter color and has a seating pillow), looks a bit off when mixed with the other two. Don't take me wrong, it's beautifully done, but compared to the other two, it looks too different in style and a bit more like if it would fit better in a different type of space, not in a "noble" setup. As I said, it's just a personal opinion, so you should take it with a grain of salt. You don't need to change anything, since it's not complicated to make the necessary editing for personal use.
And please keep on bringing more of your wonderful creations.
Thanks for your comment, I'm glad to hear it. 😊 I take screenshots in my own game (while testing my models) to show how it looks directly in the game. Not in Blender or Nifscope. In all my screenshots I use Rudy ENB for Obsydian Weather and additionally Reshade. Specifically about the model with a pillow: I knew that there would be comments that this model is not like the others. But I did it on purpose. After the Ottoman and Horse Head models were completed, I spent a lot of time thinking about the design of the third model. I didn't want it to be similar to previous models. I wanted to do something completely different so that it would be a big contrast from the first two models. To create the feeling that this chair was made in another region of Tamriel, by a other craftsman. So as not to give the impression that all the chairs were bought on sale at IKEA. This was my goal and judging by your comment, I succeeded. 😁 You were absolutely right when you said that you would edit the SWAP.ini file for your own needs. If someone does not want to see any of the models in certain places, then he can always configure the SWAP.ini the way he wants
Thanks for the reply. I also use Rudy for Obsidian Weathers. That explained why they look in my game exactly like in your pics. I very much doubt IKEA would ever offer something so high quality but if they ever do, these chairs will run out of stock in minutes. lol I got your mead barrels yesterday. They also look fantastic in game. Please keep making Skyrim more beautiful and diverse.
Man, I love these chairs. Finally something with arms, an elaborate back, and enough space for my ample Nord hips and backside. And they look so regal as well. A work of art!
If you want add vanilla nif in your game you have to add "noblechair02," in each line like in the screenshot below. The screenshot is just an example. Only the first line has been edited. You need to do the same on every line with the appropriate marker (Fronf/Static/L/R/RL). Such as noblechair02Static noblechair02LR noblechair02Front etc...
Sorry, no chance. I will not do it. When I create my BOS mods, my goal is for the user (or myself) to be able to see all the models at the same time. In the one room/home/inn/castle at same time. To experience variety. For this reason, I don't want to make an SWAP.ini file that will only assign one single model to a specific region. My mod, my work loses its meaning because of this. In this case, I can simply make a standart replacer without ESP. No sence for BOS. No sence for ESP. There is no point in me spending a huge amount of time and effort on creating different models if users can never see them side by side at the same time in the game. Anyway I will not mind if you (or anyone else) write an SWAP.ini file to distribute my models individually for each region and publish it as a separate mod (of course without using my assets in this mod, only the SWAP.ini file). Perhaps someone really interest this option.
