If you're having issues upgrading from 1.x to 2.0, you might need to perform some extra steps:

    • Make a backup save before doing so.
    • Make sure you're not fighting any dragons and haven't used a shout for at least 10 minutes in game.
    • Make another save. ("Save 01")
    • Uninstall the earlier versions.
    • Go in game and load Save 01.
    • Make a save without the mod installed. ("Save 02.")
    • Exit the game.
    • Install v2.0.
    • Go in game and load Save 02.
    • Make a final save. ("Save 03.")
    • From now on, don't load another saves before Save 03, with v2.0 of this mod.

I'm not sure if I just happened to try this out on the wrong dragon, but it didn't work as intended. There was a dragon due to spawn on my way east to Riften (when I got near the meadery bridge). The newest version had no effect on him at all, version 1.1.1 made him a red dot but he still kept circling and disappearing toward the mountains instead of attacking me.

Now I'm unsure if the newest version will work on random dragons that just circle overhead at all (do they count as hostile actors) - can anyone confirm? Or should I keep 1.1.1 and try again later?

Are you sure it's actually a hostile dragon? I've added some exclusions to make sure non-hostile ones aren't aggroed.
If possible, could you give me the ID of the Dragon?

I'm sorry, that save is gone now, but it was a random dragon (had a different type whenever I reloaded / triggered it), non-hostile (white dot) and it just might've been scripted to fly off to a word wall to begin with. So then it's intended behaviour that you can't aggro a dragon that's just surveying/circling peacefully when it spawns? I thought this was supposed to make those attack too, my bad.

Is this compatible with Dragon War - A Dragon Overhaul ? Because this doesn't seem to work. Dragons still not attacking me even after shouting. It still attacks nearby NPCs or Animals.

I've looked at it. There doesn't seem to be any direct conflicts. It may conflict in another way or with one of your other mods.

can confirm randomly spawned dragons can't be provoked, maybe Dragon War changed them to not be hostile to the player ?

This is amazing - what a difference it makes, should have been in vanilla!

    Cheers for sharing another banger!

Shouted a sabretooth cat off of a mountain and a distant dragon homes in on my location

Would this piss off the quest dragons from Memorable Dragons" (https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/85343)?

If they're hostile to player, yes. Otherwise, no.

Not with this mod. This one is specifically aimed at dragons. I might make another mod that does this for other NPCs.

would it be possible to set this to function at certain LOD levels? like current cell, then out to level 32?

If I could, I would, but AFAIK, there's no way to check that through papyrus or condition functions.

Great mod ! though if find the default distance to be unplayable, you will aggro dragons from lairs you can't even see on the map yet

ANDR_SPD_DistanceMax is the maximum distance, default is 40960 (10 cells). Try setting it to the following:
      set ANDR_SPD_DistanceMax to 20480
I have set it to 10 cells, since Dragons are very perceptive and will respond to any challenger that uses the Thu'um. I understand it may be too much for some people though, as such, I made it modular. Try the new value and see if that makes a difference for you.
