This mod attempts to provoke dragons to focus on the player, when the player uses a shout.

Description

It bothered me that Dragons tend to fly off and start attacking random animals and low level enemies in the distance.

That's why I came up with this mod. When you use a Shout, any nearby dragons will focus their attention to the player.

After you've used a shout, for 10 in game minutes, they'll be provoked. This will reset when you shout again. However, if you wish to perform a "tactical retreat",  refrain from shouting until the provoke effect has worn off.

I've excluded certain named dragons, like Odahviing, Durnehviir, Paarthurnax and Alduin as well as any dragons in Apocrypha.

During the first Mirmulnir fight, he will automatically be under the "provoke" effect.

Requirements

Compatibility

I've tried to add exclusions for as many dragons as possible, however, due to the sheer amount of mods on the Nexus, there are bound to be friendly dragons in mods that won't be covered.

Should you come across them, please use the console command to add them to exlusion faction, or use the other command to turn off this mod while they're around.

Additionally, give me their baseID and ESP name, so I can add them to the exclusion file for SPID.

Customization

Turning the mod on and off

You can turn off all features of the mod by using the following console command:

set ANDR_SPD_IsEnabled to X

When X is set to 1, the mod is active. When X is set to 0, all of the features are disabled.

Setting minimum and maximum distance

set ANDR_SPD_DistanceMin to X
set ANDR_SPD_DistanceMax to X

ANDR_SPD_DistanceMin is the minimum distance, default is 4096 (1 cell).
ANDR_SPD_DistanceMax is the maximum distance, default is 40960 (10 cells).

If you feel like experimenting, try different values. Do make sure the minimum value is at least 4 times smaller than the maximum one. (e.g: min = 1000, max = 4500) Personally, I found the default values the most ideal.

Adding a dragon to an exclusion faction

help ANDR_SPD_IgnoreFaction

This will give you an ID, FExxx909 (the x's will vary depending on your load order.
Then, target the dragon you want in the console and use the following command:

addtofaction FExxx909

Replace the x's with the actual digits in your load order.

FAQ

Q: ESPFE?
A: Yes.

Q: Does installing/updating/uninstalling on an existing save work?
A: As far as I know, it should. However, it's good practice to keep a backup save prior to doing this, just in case.

Q: Is this compatible with <insert mod>?
A: I don't know by heart. You might need to check yourself.

Q: Will you make a patch for <insert mod>?
A: Only if it's a mod I use myself or plan on using it, I have enough time and I actually like the idea. Otherwise, feel free to do it yourself. (see permissions)

Q: I have a suggestion to improve the mod. Can you do it?
A: Maybe, if I have time and I like the idea, I'll consider it.

Q: Will you port this to <insert platform>?
A: No, I myself only support the Steam and GOG English SE and AE versions of Skyrim. If someone else wants to port it, feel free. (see permission) If you decide to port it, you yourself take full responsibility to offer support to said port. I will not provide no support for any ports by third parties.

Q: I use a ported version of this mod on <insert platform> and I have a problem. Can you help?
A: I don't provide any support for third party ports on other platforms than the Steam and GOG English SE and AE versions of Skyrim. If you have issues, you should adress the person that ported it.

Q: Does this work on Skyrim 1.6+, aka "Anniversary Edition"?
A: Yes, it should.

Q: Why don't your mods use MCMs and instead use this janky console command system to set globals?
A: I am not a fan of MCMs. You can set the globals by making a patch in xEdit. I have no plans of changing this. If you want to add an MCM, feel free. (see permissions)

Q: Why don't you use FOMODs?
A: That would require reuploading the entire mod, in question, even if I only make a small change. My internet is limited and reuploading the files each time will take a huge chunk of my monthly volume.
