Is it possible to distinguish between indoor and outdoor so that there are no hoods and capes indoors? I found that NPCs wear hoods indoors, which is not in line with the general perception
You've already done an amazing thing that i'm going to make use of, but whats the chance you could make a patch for Wet and Cold - Additional Warm Clothes?
Where did the author of the fix wrote that it is incompatible? Can't find it.
Nevertheless, my mod uses another fix on top from Flip777 (included with my mod) which builds on Wet and Cold - Gear and this alternative fix to create the most lightweight version of Wet and Cold without a complete rewrite.
In the comments. The author says the patch needs the original "Wet and Cold" plugin, not the one that is edited by "Wet and Cold - Gear" author. And that "Wet and Cold - Gear" should not have this issue at all.
It is also said in other comments that "Wet and Cold - Gear" completly replaces the part that was causing freezes with SPID functionality, so anything that is built upon "Wet and Cold - Gear" should not need that fix because there's nothing to fix. I'm sorry for bothering you, I'm just a little confused about this mod. Does it revert some changes that were made in "Wet and Cold - Gear" back to the way it worked in "Wet and Cold"?
Ah, I see. Well, Wet and Cold - Gear is built upon the original .esp quite heavily for the most part and is a requirement for Gear, too. Yes, Wet and Cold - Gear uses SPID for the base spell distribution but the core mechanics of Wet and Cold can not be replaced by SPID in any means, sadly. That would save everyone quite some headache...
Some people also have reported that Gear is not working for them properly, for me also before I've made my patch and implemented both patches. And no, there should be no functionalities be reverted as my mod also uses SPID. I have also deactivated even more parts of the remaining parts from the original Wet and Cold since the connection to a season and/or certain weathers made them completely useless.
To be honest, Wet and Cold would highly profit from a complete rewrite with modern and lightweight modding techniques as even my patch was some kind of frankensteining to make it work. But even after all this time it does what it does :D
Thank you for the explanation. It was just confusing to me why author of the fix and other people say that the fix is not compatible, and, at the same time, how it's required here
You're welcome! I think this statement still stands as correct if you are using only Wet and Cold - Gear. For my mod to work on the other hand I had to get Gear working first reliably to build my edits onto it. If I remember correctly this fix helped me to deactivate some scripts or components.
Either way, it works ^^ I also haven't encountered any freezes and also got no reports on this.
Yes, I see that there are no comments reporting problems and zero topics in the bugs section, so evidently everything works. Just wanted to make sure. Modding can be a little confusing sometimes
This is super exciting! Ive been want something like this forever! Thank you! Youre doing Talos' work!
By the way, as a fellow Seasons enjoyer do you know of anyway to get rid of the blowing snow fx and audio using unfrozen during the warm months? It tends to show up in defrosted areas like around Bleak Falls and Im not sure how to get rid of it!
I've wanted something like this ever since Seasons of Skyrim came out. Thank you so much for making this and I'm looking forward to where you go from here with the mod.
To be honest, I don't know where I exactly go with this mod. It is quite 'hacky' implemented in Wet and Cold which also has it's limitations and I'm glad that it seems to work this way. I dream of a complete rewrite (so a complete new mod) implementing some of the more modern Skyrim modding techniques and already have some ideas how to manage it, but we will see if I find the time and motivation for it ^^
Yeah, yeah, yeah... Obsidian is being asked as a master. It took me less than a minute to clean it and upload it here. Literally. Learn to fly solo, people. Many thanks to the mod author. If you want to upload the esp, you're more than welcome and thanks for this. <3
But thats why I released the mod as alpha first, to get it tested and find all these little bugs yourself wont.
Was this the normal or lite version? I would guess the normal as I opend this version together with Obsidian (and I would never had guessed that Creation Kit would create a dependency here -.-). I will upload it tomorrow after work.

I hope this brings some clarity :)

Kudos and Endorsed.

Edit: just added the patch
Cleaned WetandCold.esp
