Welcome to Metalsaber's Beautiful Ladies of Skyrim. This mod is aimed at replacing some npcs NOT covered by the Bijin series of npc replacers. I love that series of mods and have no interest in replacing any of those NPCs. However there are quite a few of the NPCs NOT covered by those mods. I plan on tackling as many as I can. The ones you see initially will be those in Solitude.

There is only one note that and I covered in the description. Its regarding Sybille Stentor. In my playable game, she has no hood on. When I play on my test pc she has a hood on. Despite changing the clothing she still uses the default clothing. So if anyone has any suggestions of why the outfit isnt updating, that would be great.

Theres also a slight clipping with Elisif's crown and her hair style. Doesn't bother me too much.

If you like this mod, please consider endorsing. I'd also like to see your photos as well. Feel free to add them to the gallery.

    See Change Log for updates.

7/10/18 - Added Optional USSEP and CRF patches thanks to Tigertronic. Make sure to thank him for this.

11/9 - Added FOMOD installer for the Beautiful Ladies of Skyrim. Note that Elves is not included. You have choices between the UNP, UNPB and CBBE options. Included are the 2K/4K skin options for you to choose. Default is 2K and under optional you can choose 4k. choose the appropriate 4k option for the selected body type. I've also included the original/optional 4K eyes.

This is my 1st FOMOD installer, so if there are any issues, let me know. I'm leaving the other files in place if you wish to download the old way and/or wish to install the Elves mod.

9/19 - I think I'm pretty much done with all the human female NPCs in the base game. With 2.9, I've removed Senna. She was covered by the Bijin Wifes mod. Sorry to those that might have liked my version. The goal of the mod was to make a complimentary version to the Bijin series and with this removal, I have. There should be NO overwrites asked for FaceGen NIFS or DDS files. If you get asked to overwrite facegen data, then thats a result of other mods which I do not support. Sorry.

9/10 - Elves version 1.3 now contains the new eye textures that are smaller in size. Again, if you preferred the older true eyes version, that is available as an optional download. Also removed a hair nif/texture that wasnt used so that combined with the smaller eyes made the overall files for 1.3 smaller than 1.2.

This should essentially finish off this line of work. There were maybe 1 or 2 left and they were part of the Thalmore Embassy quest but I'm not sure I'll go down that route.

9/8 - I've changed the eye textures from True Eyes to Improved Eyes and Eyes of Beauty. They are significantly lower file/res but look just as good imo. It saves you guys some vram. I've included the true eyes in the optional downloads if you prefer them or if you want to mix and match.

8/31 - Double naming in NMM. If you download both Elves and Ladies and get the same name in NMM. Try this:

    Go to NMM settings.
In the General Tab UNCHECK the "Add missing info to Mods".
    CLick OK.

8/30 - Beautiful Elves of Skyrim

Really didn't get much feedback, so I decided to separate the mods. There will be 3 new Main Mods entitled "Metalsabers Beautiful Elves of Skyrim". All available in UNP, UNPB and CBBE.

    Notes:
1.) Elves and Ladies can be run by solo or together
2.) I'm sharing Hairs between the 2 mods, so I have to include them in both in case people only want to run one version. If you run both, when you get prompted to overwrite files, just say yes to all.
3.) This new mod uses the same skin texture pack as the Ladies of Skyrim. So if you already have it downloaded for the Beautiful Ladies mod, you do not need to download it again.

See the Gallery for the 1st 4 Elves I've updated in 1.0 Version

    Thanks and happy adventuring.

    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

8/27 - Well I think I've gotten through all the major cities and towns. I'm not sure if I missed any ladies or not. Note, that I have no plans to update the obvious granny looking ladies. :P I didn't do any of the little random out of the way farm houses or communities.

I'm not sure if I will do the DLC content or not. If I do, it will go into a separate ESP.

8/24 - Over 50 NPCs have been altered as of this patch. With 2.1, YOU MUST DOWNLOAD an appropriate 1.3 SKIN from the MISC Section. Otherwise you will get a purple face on certain npcs because I added in a Freckle Texture.

8/20 - Yay 2.0 milestone. We have over 40 npc's updated as of this update. I got a lot done and decided to drop 8 new NPCs instead of just 4. :)

8/15 - Another Major Update. I split out the Skin Textures into their own Downloads in the Miscellaneous section. You MUST download at least one appropriate skin texture package. If I don't dont adjust any skin textures going forward, you may not need to download that ever again. This allows the main download to be much smaller.

Please let me know if I didn't get all fixed correctly. I tried my best checking all characters in all the various skin/body configurations.

8/14 - Major update. Added Mature Skin Texture. Thats why file grew so much. Updated 4 new NPCs to use Mature Skin Texture. Updated Thane Bryling and Arcadia to use the Mature Skin Texture. See change log for more details.

I modified a few of the mature skin textures. They were 8k files which are overkill. The main downloads are 4K and the optional files include 2k versions.

8/13 - Recent update to the UNPB meshes allowed me to upload a UNPB version.

Version 1.4 brings 2 changes to NPC's outfits. I've changed Sybille Stentor, Aia Arria and Zaria default outfits to non-hooded ones. So if you encounter them and they still have default hooded outfits:
    1.) open up the console
2.) use your mouse and select the npc
3.) type 'disable' without quotes. Hit enter.
4.) type 'enable' without quotes and hit enter.
That should refresh them. Note they "may" not be in the same spot after you hit enable.

After you confirm they have their new outfits, its best to make a new save so they retain their changes.

First thing first a big THANKYOU for your great mod.
I'd like to keep the vanilla version of Elisif. Is this possible in some way ?
    Thanks for any reply.

Can that be done with Endarie. I got Taarie and Endarie Re-Imagined, and there seems to be a conflict. Endarie doesn't look good anymore. But without this mod, even more elves look bad. Taarie seems unaffected. Moving above or below didn't change anything

Edit: well I removed Endarie from the other mod, now have your Endarie and the other modder's Tarrie. They both look good now. My issue fixed, but thanks for mentioning what else SSedit can do. I was just using it to clean dirty plug-ins

    Howdy All.
I hope there's still somebody out there that can help me out.
I also wanted to thank the mod author for this incredible mod.
Everything was running just fine until I found that Hilde in Riverwood has a painfully noticeable neck seam (her head is whiter than the rest of her body).
I tried multiple fix but nothing seemed to work.
I currently use all the Bejin mods, the "Fresh Faces" one along with its proper skin texture and all the Metalsabers ones besides beautiful mages (that I might install later anyway).
This is not a problem given by any of those mods, I checked.
I also use CBBE, which is probably what's causing this problem (and yes I'm running the CBBE version of Metalsabers).
I do also have the Default Body patch installed...which I reinstalled multiple times along with the Beautiful ladies, but it didn't change anything.
I did replace the textures in the Fair Skin folder and Mature Skin folder with the CBBE ones and nothing changed.
I installed the whole Fair Skin mod compatible with CBBE but it didn't have any effect, idk if the load order was wrong since I use Vortex and I blindly trust him to sort everything for me, and so far it never disappointed.
If anyone could help me it would mean a lot.
    Thanks.

      I FIXED IT!
After 3 hours or more of tinkering I did the right thing.
Basically, you have to keep Fair Skin installed (of course with the CBBE compatible version if you're using it) and disable instead the Beautiful ladies default patch, it causes more harm than anything.
      So yeah..........LESSSS FUCKING GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

What's baffling to me is why AI Overhaul would be modifying NPCs' physical appearance, and by the same token, why Metalsabers would be modifying NPCs' AI Packages... In my installation, Vortex flags no conflicts between AI Overhaul and either of my 2 installed Metalsabers mods, and the two Metalsabers mods (Elves and Ladies) show conflicts only with each other, which is reasonable since they overlap in some areas.

mulrich wrote: Vortex doesn't flag any conflicts, but SSEEdit does. If AIO is put after Metalsabers mods, the AI package changes are applied, but you likely end up with the blackface "bug", because AIO's NPC records contain the vanilla appearance data.

I wound up making my own AIO patch for Beautiful and Lovely Ladies, though it requires both mods. It doesn't require the Elves add-on for this mod, as those were redone for Elegant Elves. I also made patches for the other Metalsabers mods, though to be fair, I only updated the one already provided by another commenter on the orcs one.
Metalsaber has given me permission to upload the patches, but I just haven't got around to it because I wanted to make FOMODs and I'm terribly lazy. IIRC, the USSEP patch is also horribly out of date, which I probably updated too. I can't remember if it required a Cutting Room Floor patch, too.

Vyxenne wrote: Wow. This seems like both mods have ITMs... and yet, they're not. I'm still having issues trying to figure out why Metalsabers is modifying AI packages, and why AI Overhaul is modifying appearance.

mulrich wrote: It's true for ALL NPC apperance mods. The Bijin All-in-One 2020 mod comes in non-AIO and AIO versions for a reason. Shiva's Beautification mod has an AIO patch for the same reason (though it's out of date). There's only one record for each NPC in the game files, containing information on their AI, their inventory, their stats, their class, their appearance, etc., so anything changing an NPC record will override anything that was previously changed, unless the changes are carried over via patch.

As it is, the USSEP patch for THIS mod is so horribly out of date that it undoes several changes by USSEP regarding NPCs. (It's also so out of date that it has the Beautiful Elves mod as a master, even though Metalsabers said not to get that anymore, because of Elegant Elves, stemming from the fact that it's old and not made by Metalsabers, who doesn't use USSEP.)
Without the USSEP patch, the mod undoes ALL changes made by USSEP.

I absolutely did not know that! I thought that the game automatically carried across any records that were NOT changed by a subsequent plugin- for example, if Skyrim.esm says Alva's hair is "FemaleNordHair19" and her eyes are "eyeshumanblue" and I make an Alva override patch that says her hair is KS Hairdos "Desirae" but do not say anything about her eyes, what you're telling me here is that she will no longer have any eyes at all (brown face?) because I did not explicitly "carry across" her vanilla eyes OR provide some valid alternate eyes??? OMG! Serves me right for sleeping through Headparts 101...

Without the USSEP patch, the mod undoes ALL changes made by USSEP.

Can you please be more specific? The paragraph with the above sentence in it mentions 3 mods in addition to USSEP, so it is entirely unclear to me which one of them "the mod" refers to.

Also, the USSEP Patch on this mod's Files page requires Cutting Room Floor as a Master (in addition to USSEP, of course) and is therefore completely unusable unless I use CRF. Do you know of a USSEP Patch for Metalsaber's Beautiful Women and Elves? Thanks.

Sorry, by "the mod", I mean this one, "Beautiful Ladies".

As for the appearance things, that is absolutely my understanding, and the reason you want to place whichever appearance mod you want an NPC to have last in your load order.

Let's use Elisif the Fair as an example and it's probably easiest to just use a screenshot to demonstrate just a few of the conflicts in the entire NPC record (with a filter to ONLY show conflicts. In this case, the conflicts are intentional, as only Elisif's appearance is changed and it winds up as the appearance I want:
    X5mql7k.png

In the following screenshot, you can see how AI Overhaul adds two AI packages to Gisli and changes her confidence from "brave" to "cowardly", but Shiva's Beautification mod undoes these changes, which is then rectified with the AI Overhaul patch for Beautification. However, both Metalsabers's Beautiful Ladies and Lovely Ladies mods then undo the AI Overhaul changes again, until they are re-added in my own USSEP-CRF-AIO patch for Beautiful and Lovely Ladies:
    nmJtlnX.png

Also, the USSEP Patch on this mod's Files page requires Cutting Room Floor as a Master (in addition to USSEP, of course) and is therefore completely unusable unless I use CRF. Do you know of a USSEP Patch for Metalsaber's Beautiful Women and Elves? Thanks.

If you're using the Beautiful Elves add-on for Beautiful Ladies, you really should ditch that and use Elegant Elves instead, which was made to replace and covers all NPCs that Beautiful Elves touches, thus being entirely unnecessary as per Metalsabers's own statements. I would make a patch for you, but I don't use Beautiful Elves for exactly that reason.

Do you use AI Overhaul? Because in that case, I have a patch ready to go already, but it does have both Beautiful Ladies and Lovely Ladies as masters. (Lovely Ladies was meant to completely replace Beautiful Ladies, but Metalsabers isn't working on any of their mods anymore, so Lovely only partially covers Beautiful.)

Can someone help me with this issue? I don't know what I'm doing wrong, I have the Ladies of Skyrim to help fill out the other characters untouched by Bijin. For some reason despite having the metalsabers at the very bottom with Northern Brawn above and then the Bijin plugin, I still get either a prisoner in Mistwatch with blackface that's causing CTDs and sometimes Oflina.

Wait- you think Metalsaber's Beautiful Ladies is causing Olfina? As in Olfina Gray-Mane of Whiterun, not-so-secret girlfriend of Jon Battle-Born? I'm pretty sure she's a vanilla character, caused by Bethesda Game Studios in 2011...

Firstly, almost all CTDs are caused by bad models, missing masters, savegame corruption or irreconcilable mod conflicts. SSEEdit, Loot and Vortex can identify any/all mod conflicts and missing masters. I'm assuming MO2 can as well, but I don't use it so I don't know. Running Resaver on your Savegame can identify and fix many types of savegame corruption, but not all. The best way to determine whether or not your current savegame is corrupted is to start a new game using the same mod loadout- if you don't crash during or shortly after Helgen, you have validated your mods and pointed the finger of doom at your savegames.

Your mod manager and/or LOOT should be identifying mod conflicts, provided you are following the correct installation order (which is not at all the same thing as load order.) I'm running this mod as well as all 3 Bijin mods plus Valerica and Seranaholic and nobody has the black-face bug, so it seems unlikely that this mod is the cause of your troubles.

The first thing I would do is uninstall >> reinstall Metalsaber's Beautiful Ladies, authorizing all overwrites and setting it as the conflict winner if you're using MO2 or Vortex. Then sort your load order with LOOT or Vortex (which uses LOOT anyway.)

Yep, but that finally fixed itself when I did reinstall it, just for some reason that prisoner in Mistwatch is still black face *Though I am gonna check if maybe that's because something going on with Flower Girl since I'm using that extended quests one for Amorous Adventures*

I have done SSEEdit and Loot multiple times now and fixed much I could where it's telling *Hmm I am using the All in One 2019 of Bijin with only those mods included Valerica and Seranaholic for the requirements, does that cause any differences compare to yours?*

Alright I'll try again. But though just as I get this clear, is the proper one to use is Ladies of Skyrim or the one with Ladies of Skyrim (CBBE) 2.9? It was just looking over the file on Nexus, it strangely told me it was the wrong version for it despite your CBBE one being the updated one year after the other one that says 2.10?

Thank you for answering and the assistance.

Metalsaber's mods don't touch the Bijin girls AFAIK, so it's doubtful that's a conflict.
that prisoner in Mistwatch is still black face *Though I am gonna check if maybe that's because something going on with Flower Girl since I'm using that extended quests one for Amorous Adventures*
I, too, am running FG as well as AA-FG. My current character hasn't "done" Mistwatch yet, so in a few minutes I'll go see if anybody there has the blackface.

EDIT to add: Finished Mistwatch, nobody has the black face bug. Here are the only 3 non-combatants I encountered there:
      Spoiler:
      Show

      Exhibit A: The Grieving Husband

      Exhibit B: The Libidinous Prisoner

      Exhibit C: The Errant Wife

Exhibit D: The Gratuitous Character Shot

The Lame Excuse For My Wardrobe

So Metalsaber's isn't responsible for your black face.

Yeah, I discovered it was because I needed to reinstalled the said optionable package. Not sure why but sometimes going through LOOT or scanning on Steam, I learn the hard way to having reinstalled them again. Thanks anyway though.
