About this mod

Vampires have Vampire Vision, similar to the Khajiit Night Eye ability, and Blood Sense, allowing them to locate and hunt their prey.

Version 2.0.3 changes Khajiit vampires' Night Eye ability to Vampire Vision to match the other races.  If you want them to have 2 different intensities of Night vision, keep version 2.0.2 and assign Vampire Vision to a hot key with the MCM.

Features:

Vampire Vision: Vampires, like the Khajiit, have advanced night vision.

This is completely separate than Night Eye, so it won't interfere with vanilla Skyrim or any other mods that affect Night Eye.
Vampire Vision is brighter, but with almost all color drained from the world around you.

A normal night in Solitude:A vampiric night in Solitude:

Blood Sense: Blood Sense allows a vampire to easily locate and hunt prey.

With Blood Sense active, the world around you will take on a faint red hue, and living creatures will pulse red with the blood that flows through them.  Undead creatures and other vampires, including the player, will glow a cooler purple hue.  Creatures can even be sensed through barriers and walls (though not outside of the current cell).

Both of these abilities can be toggled, and set to a hotkey in the MCM.  You also have the ability to toggle the separate shaders for the player.

This mod was made in request to a Reddit post, with compatibility in mind.

I took inspiration from Vision by Myst42, but pared it down to only the vampiric powers.  The original version has open permissions, and in fact Myst42 encourages other authors to use their work as a launching point for other mods.

This mod is made to work alongside your preferred werewolf overhaul, but still be compatible with other vampire mods, including:

  • Better Vampires
  • Sacrilege
  • Sacrosanct
  • Scion

My mod will automatically load after these upon sorting.
