Hello, really nice mod! A lot of frustrating following quests are now bearable, a must have QoL =)
The pathing it's perfect for me but sometimes I have issues with the camera, I don't know if it's some known(or not) conflict or if it's like this for everyone:
When using 3rd person view I get a lock of the horizontal axis of the camera, the camera is usually locked nicely but very rarely it locks facing strange directions. Fortunately, at least, it never locks with an angle of more than 90° from the movement direction
When using 1st person view my horizontal axis is not locked but I can see my arms in an ugly locked position
I have to add that I do not have any mod that shows my body/arms while in 1st person view and those strange arms are present only when following.
Switching between 1st/3rd view mid-follow or before prompting the follow does not change these behaviours.
When I first installed this mod I had pathing issues because of a minor conflict in settings with True Directional Movement, I was just wondering if these camera behaviours were other incompatibilities between these two or other mods that I did not manage to solve.
I asked just to be sure it was not something messed up on my end, I'm glad it's not :)
For True Directional Movement users: these two mods are compatible, just tweak around the settings in the first tab of that mod.
@sgtmcbiscuits I can't rememeber what settings I changed to solve pathing issues and what I changed for other reasons. Try to start the follow not being too far from the npc and not near path turns or doors. If you notice your char running in a random direction it doesn't mean your settings are bad, sometimes all it takes is just to prompt the follow again. I seems to remember that disabling "headtracking affects spine" reduced the cases when my char get stucked in furnitures/wall corners when the paths bend too sharply
Well, in DAK's FAQs theres this So, if I'm not mistaken, this SoS mod is replicating it in it's own script, but it would be better if it just used DAK instead of having multiple instances of basically the same script. Also, DAK has controller support, this mod doesn't (or at least it's not stated so in the description)
Fully compatible with controller by setting the proper DXScanCode in StalkingNPCs.json -as explained on the description page. I am using Gamepad Button Freer, right trigger is affected to DAK and now my left trigger is assigned to SoS !
