What is it?
So, Skyrim has all these food items, and mostly they're a waste of carry weight. Why would you bog yourself down bringing food along on your epic journey across Skyrim, Solstheim, and the planes of Oblivion?

What?!

This mod provides a very simple and natural-feeling starvation mechanic. The longer you go without eating, the less well you are. When you eat, you recover from whatever maladies you were suffering due to lack of food. The bigger your meal, the longer you can go before you start suffering from deprivation again. It's enough to make food a thing in the game, without making it into a game about food.

How's it work, though?

The mod keeps track of when you'll next need food, and when you go past that time, it starts applying penalties to your three main stats. Each penalty starts off tiny and slowly increases as time passes, until you eat something.

After a few hours without enough food, you'll begin building up a penalty to your Magicka. Gotta eat regularly to keep the ol' brain working.

After a few days without food, you'll begin building up a penalty to Stamina as well. You don't need to eat every day to maintain your physical energy, but it doesn't take too many days of deprivation for the impact to be noticeable.

After a week or two, you'll begin building up a penalty to Health. If you still don't eat anything, then after a few weeks, starvation will finally kill you.

Technical stuff

This mod depends on Bethesda's Survival Mode Creation, but it doesn't have to be enabled. In fact, I recommend disabling it. Deprivation just uses some of the metadata Survival Mode provides to determine how much nutrition different food items are worth. That also means that food mods which are compatible with Survival Mode are also compatible with Deprivation.

Add yes, it's ESL-flagged.
