The mesh data for potions that is needed for a BOS swap is contained within the same record as each potion's statistic data, so only using my patch won't solve all of the incompatibility and inconsistency created by adding in new BOS swap records. Adlez is already aware of this, I assume, as they are providing CACO patches I'm just saying this for the sake of user-awareness.
Users will need all new patches for any new/duplicate potion records created for swapping, in order for those potions to work properly with their chosen alchemy overhaul and any other mod affecting those records. They may also need a new patch for mods adding animations to potion drinking.
Potions done this way means that potions hotkeyed will not function 100%, since you have new records and therefore separate inventory slots for each potion. Ideally you could make these kind of mods with "Model Swapper" to preserve game functionality and to simply add diversity to found potions. Thoughts?
instead of Awesome Potions Simplified, would it be possible to use a mix of Vanilla Potions, Medieval Potions, Simple Potions, and Fantasy Potion Replacer? they're all of a similar flavor and would add some variety to things
So I just... Delete the plugin and meshes folder from where it was installed by MO2?
I hate getting old. I get so confused by things that never would have confused me before. I'm sorry.
Edit: That does appear to have done the trick, though I'm getting Vanilla potions mixed in (which is probably intentional). I'm using APS and ElSopa together; I assume if I want to just have those two and not Vanilla potions appear, I can set the .ini for each to 50% instead of 25%? Do I have that right? What's the difference between persistent and not persistent?
Thanks for any help you can give. I apologize again.
Hello If you don't want vanilla potion, you just have to install ElSopa or Awesome Potions Simplified in a normal way (aka without delete anything, it will replace vanilla potions) then install one of my BOS Replacer, depending of what you installed first.
For example: if you installed ElSopa Potions Replacer, then install the Awesome Potions Simplified Replacer - Base Object Swapper.
Now we need: ElSopa - Potions Redone Port of Pretty Animated Potions- Small Bottles Edition WiZkiD Forgotten Potions and Poisons and Medieval Potions ENBLight as base.
Without my mod, you can't use for example Medieval Potions and Awesome Potions Simplified. They overwrite each others. With my mod, you can, because it's dynamically replaced thanks to Base Object Swapper.
