What I want to point out is that if you go to the High Hrothgar, and look at the mists there(The steps before the entrance), with this mod they are dark(almost black), lol. Completely out of place. Unless it's my modlist setup issue.
Sorry for the late reply, I have loaded my game and went to the front of high Hrothgar and there is no black mist to be seen anywhere in the area. Everything looks fine there. Must be an incompatibility with one of your mods. Many mods add alot of vanilla mist effects to some places to make them more atmospheric and since my mod tweaks alot of those files, it might create problems.
The mods I use loaded in that order are EVLaS, ELFX, ENB Light, NAT ENB III (Weather Plugin only), Azurite Mists, Obsidian Mountain Fogs, Light Limit Fix, and all of their requirements of course. Load CaveMistFix after all of those.
Yeah, my game setup includes stuff like Lux, Community Shaders, Cathedral Weathers and that's probably everything that could affect fog brightness. Kinda weird that it broke only after slapping your mod on top, lol.
Honestly that could just be incompatibility with my weather mod, because during certain time periods even water foam becomes orange, so maybe it just adds up becoming dark.
Alright, here I tried the vanilla game. Here's the clip:
You can definitely see that some snow that the wind blows in my face is dark. I intentionally went to the place, disabled most mods and recorded it.
Though I probably remember this issue being the most apparent climbing towards The Bleak Falls Barrow:
Maybe not exactly black, but kinda gray-ish looking, I think that was just my snow textures looking brighter, causing for the issue to become more apparent.
Anyways, without this mod dungeons suck, and with this mod snowy exterior suck, so we're basically either way it's(The game) flawed, lol.
Here's the same locations on my full modded game *WITHOUT YOUR MOD* for comparison:
My issue is that when I just put your mod on top of my modlist, I get the snow looking like the first video, lol.
On the vanilla game you can notice it but kinda get away with it, but my modded game is so much brighter it ends up sticking out terribly. So for now I'm not using your mod. Though the caves definitely look better with it.
Thanks for showing me the gray smoke! I could find the problem and a temporary fix. You can try using mod organiser to open my mod (just double click on it). You will see the files that it modifies. Highlight all the "fxcameraattach" files, right click on one and hide the files. Or alternatively, you can delete these files directly in the mod zip file. That way you can still use parts of my mod. Note that interiors also use those files so some places will still have some overbright mists, but it'll still be a fix for alot of places.
I'll try to pinpoint the exact issue this week (could be a single one of these files).
https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/images/221622 Why did the fog turn into this situation? And, in the wild, I found that when the mist blew over the water, it was like this, in patches? Especially during snowy weather, it is very obvious.
Tried to replicate your issue, but I couldn't find something similar in my game. Might be an issue with your load order or an incompatibility with your one of your mods. Try using the mod More Informative Console https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/19250?tab=files. You can use it to click on the smoke effect that is glitching in your game to see what fx file it is. If it is one of the files in my mod, just delete it from CaveMistFix or hide it in MO2. That way, you can use only the parts of my mod that work for you.
I am using ELFX with enhancer plugin. Make sure to load the mod after ELFX so that it overwrites ELFX files, then sort your mods through LOOT. If that doesn’t work, I don’t really know what the issue could be. I’ll keep playing the game and if I find your issue, I’ll make sure to try to fix it :D
Pinewatch for 0.1.1, Brinewater Grotto for both versions. The mists and fogs used in those places are used all across the map. They should all be altered and fixed, however, there might still be some other types of fog effects that still need fixing. If you come across another type of glowing blue-ish smoke, feel free to le me know of the location so I can try to make a new update.
I'm glad to be of help! The blue fog effects really are out of place with enb's haha Let me know if you find a location that still needs fixing, I'll try to make an update! :D

I'll give it a shot right now.
