Idk, feels kinda mid. Locations are incredibly large and dark for no reason, since there isnt much going on in them. Too little enemies for a dungeon this size and the loot they drop is too good for the small amount of effort required to clear it. And it's too easy to get out of bounds without even realizing it.
Usually I ain't much for liking the daedra stuff, but this one actually kept my attention and provided a challenge especially those times my followers didn't follow. I was an axe wielding breton at level 23 playing on the default difficulty level and the boss dremora was a tough entertaining battle. Only thing is after exploring the place I kept thinking I might have missed something but I suppose much of it was just exploring for the sake of experiencing the place, which I did enjoy.
can't be done. this mod have 8k records and add new cells, max you can stuff in esl is 2k btw. if you want to save esp slots, you need to merge this mod
So I ran this dungeon and figured I would share my experience with a little review.
It is what it says it is, a lair, full of daedra and although it's a bit short, if you are looking to find those daedra hearts and don't feel like exploiting the 5 locations in Skyrim by sleeping or using the console and cheat your way, this dungeon can provide a fair challenge depending on what class you are playing.
For a sneaky rogue, this dungeon is straight up too easy. It is much darker than any vanilla dungeon and therefore giving a huge advantage to any sneak build. It does get so dark at times however, that even a rogue will have to use a torch every now and then.
For a mage, this may prove to be too much of a challenge. The enemies are daedra and should by no means be underestimated. All of their weapons are enchanted and the ranged enemies will 1 shot at higher difficulties.
For a warrior class with heavy armor and any sort of weaponry this dungeon feels just right. It will be challenging but doable with a high end reward. Even so, I highly recommend stacking up on potions before going in.
Best of all, even though going through this dungeon with 100+ mods, I did not have any CTD's and everything went smoothly.
The artwork inside is very detailed and beautiful from the large statues to the gory displays of humanoid remains. The cells transition greatly and match each other in size.
There are a few quirks however. Without a quest, you aren't sure where to go and although I personally like the idea of exploring the different areas some of them are weird and off. The ice area 2 enemies and nothing more and the dwemer area broke immersion a bit, especially the dining hall where a bunch of daedra warriors were having a dinner party. It also ended with a dead end, I jumped off into the abyss and simply ended up where I entered the area without dying and the door was glitched with the textures not matching. I often found myself wondering, am I still underground or in oblivion and it broke immersion.
The final bossfight however made up for it, it was brutal and I found myself running several times for cover and healing. But in the end, it was just a high lvl enemy without any mechanic to it.
In the end, I would say it's a 15min dungeon crawl with a bossfight in the end. A Daedra heart farm with a challenge that will make you feel that you aren't cheating, but lacks in story, immersion and a quest(reason to go or explore).
Considering this is a "Daedra Lair" and Skyrim is set after Oblivion. It's my personal headcanon for this mod that these are daedra that survived Oblivion, then resolved to live a peaceful life together in a cave.
Hi, is this safe to install mid playthrough at lvl 40 and with 100 mods? If any cleaning is required, is it safe to clean via SSEEDIT?
I also have Skyrim Sewers 4, Forgotten Dungeons (SSE), Hammet's Dungeon Packs for SE, Underground - a dungeon texture overhaul, Alpine Forest of Whiterun Valley, Grass Field - More colors, Grass Terrain Remade, Majestic Mountains, Simply Bigger Trees SE, Surreal Lighting and Realistic Water Two installed, hoping it will be compatible.
