It's not a direct alternative, but it's definitely worth a look. It’s a pity that the mod doesn’t seem to be very stable; the author himself does not recommend using it.
So THAT's where the ice skating issue comes from. I have Skyrim Motion Control, Better Jumping, Dynamic Sprint... wasn't sure why I kept having ice skating issue. Thanks for this mod.

EDIT: Just realized you released a variation of this mod, (Not) Lazy Smooth Jump Landing. I'll go with that one.
