Changelogs
Version 1.0
Fixed an error with Fade 3 (formerly Chameleon) and with Absorb Health Touch 3 (formerly Vampiric Grasp from Arcane Accessories) and various Arcane Accessories tomes.
Added Creation Club spells from Arcane Archer, Saints and Seducers, and The Cause.
Version 0.8
Corrected entries for Spell Tome Open Lock 1, Spell Tome Conjure Atronach 5 Storm.
Added Plague of the Dead to the optional AE/Creations renames.
Moved Staves to a separate optional file due to inconsistency for users with the Staves Creation.
Version 0.6
Added generic staves. This does not include staves added/modified by the "Staves" creation or the "CC Staves - Mysticism Consistency Patch" mod by Ooreeoo, and it might never unless someone can export a text list of all relevant Editor IDs for me or tell me how to do that. If you would prefer to just have the original names to all staves, simply delete "BoringNamesForMysticismStaves_IPM.ini" from your mod folder.
Typo/style correction for Cure 2 (Ally) and Frenzy (4) Ally and Raise Zombie 4.
Changed all instances of "drain" to "absorb" to be more lore friendly and consistent.
Added some spells that were missed due to not being mentioned in Mysticism's mod page: Burden Rune, Conjure Dremora Hunter, Conjure Dremora Sorcerer, Encumber, Wrathman Marksman, Wrathman Warlock.
Version 0.4
Some typos and errors fixed.
Version 0.2
Original upload. Expect errors.
Boring Names for Mysticism Spells
---------
What it do: This mod renames all spells included in Simonrim to have a simple, logical, boring nomenclature.
Why it do that: Because as much as I love Mysticism and the entire Simonrim mod suite, I got tired of getting my Greater Ward and Grand Ward, my Thunderbolt and Lightning Bolt, and my various conjured skeletons mixed up. Now names are boring, like Ward 3, Shock Bolt 4, and Conjure Skeleton 5. This also applies to associated tomes and scrolls.
How it do that: With Item Property Manipulator by MaskedRPGFan. This means there's no esp/esl, and is compatible with literally everything that doesn't also use IPM to change the same records or renames the Editor IDs in a way I haven't accounted for, which I think means everything on Nexus. It even adapts to which Simonrim mods you do and don't have installed automatically, such as Scion or the Jump Spells addon.
How to install: Just use MO2 or manually put the .ini files from the mod into your \data or \data\IPM folder. Safe to update or remove any time, all renamed entries are reverted on next load.
Optional files: I also have a file that slightly renames and appends a prefix asterisk to the spells and tomes added by six Creations so far: Arcane Accessories, Necromantic Grimoire, and Plague of the Dead, Arcane Archer, Saints and Seducers, The Cause. I feel like these spells don't go with Mysticism well, and I wanted to be able to tell them apart so I can avoid them. If you disagree, you have the option to not install this. Also there is an optional mod to rename staves included in the base Special Edition game, which does not include the many many staves added by the Staves Creation. If you do have Staves Creation, there will be an inconsistency of some staves having Boring Names and some having original names.
Help Wanted: If you find typographic errors, missed spells, or other problems please notify me. If you have an idea for better vocabulary or organized renaming system, please post in the Forum tab. If you know how to make SSEEdit export a list of all the Editor IDs of one category (such as all the Editor IDs for staves in the Staves Creation or for research notes in Simonrim Sorcerer), please tell me how, so I can rename those too in less time than actively copying and pasting those individually into IPM.ini files.
