I absolutely love this idea, and I'd really like to get it, but Ashes of War has NINE "hard requirements" and that seems like way too much. Is all that really necessary, and a special key, just for animations? Any chance to get chakrams with attack animations and throwing that doesn't involve a total of eleven mods and using extra keys?
The requirements for Ashes of War are some of it's spell animations. It features 75 different attacks, binding them to weapon types and special weapons, as well the Ashes item. The whole thing was a passion project to introduce special attacks into Skyrim with a mod I rather enjoyed.
If it's too much for you to install or the requirements seem to steep, I'm sure there's other throwing animation mods out there. I'm not likely to splice stuff out of my existing mods. In the future I may make a small version of Ashes for core attacks, but as it stands it's not available right now.
Well, thank you for answering. I was really hoping for a simple solution, since I only want chakrams and nothing else. I've tried a couple other thrown weapon mods and they were totally janky. I don't know of any other throwing animations that could go with this. I'll keep an eye out though.
I'm currently weighing options for ports. I've given people permission before, and the page ends up being a big advertisement for their discords and patreons which I'm not particularly a big fan of in the long run. If porting my mods is something you're relatively interested in, you're more than free to join my discord and have a discussion with me on there if it's something you're rather keen on and feel passionate about porting.
Just about everyone in the Halls discord are very trustworthy and talented porters, and are the only ones who I trust not to Bork anything up/try to gain any personal recognition, but I totally understand! I’ll join your discord either way to make sure to keep up with your awesome miss though! 😊
I can only think one thing, modified from a movie, to fit the Pit Fighter Mod, and the sound from the movie overlayed with the banging of drums matching up.. and as my boy was drawing these.. all I can hear is..
this seems really cool. Do the chakrams come back to you? I see you have them flying in some screenshots.
a 2 handed version would par really good with the witcher geralt animation pack on here too.... would be kind of like the kunoichi awakening in Black Desert Online.
If you use my Ashes of War mod, you can have several different attacks including throwing ones. Alternatively you can add your own animations via DAR/OAR
#1 Learning how to make icons and the like may sound simple, but it takes time and effort #2. Learning how to implement icons into I4 is borderline esoteric knowledge. Out of every skyrim modder on our earth, I am going to guess less than 100-150 people actually know how to create a .svg and put that .svg into a .swf and have knowledge of a .json and I4

Jokes asides, this is awesome, author. If I was an animator, I would try and make a special moveset just for these, including throwing power attacks.🔥
