I'm not taking any requests to make changes to the outfits. Please check the images for tutorials if you need help.
Edit: This is my first mod that ever got 1000 unique DLs, so thanks i guess! It does confuse me a bit bc it looks like some days the DLs were way higher than page views, I don't know how that works lol
This looks great. Thanks for making it. Just the other day, I passed a beggar in Riften as it was snowing. Yeah, I know it's a game 🙂 yet this irked me a bit.
For all the money you get, you can't buy someone some clothes to keep them warm? Well, now you can!
Oh no I think I can save you some testing, it doesn't work on mod added beggars, because I wanted to fetch the vanilla beggars some "unique" outfit individually, so the way I set up this is that it only works on them. I think I can work out something so it works on mod added ones(assuming that they have proper beggar keyword) too, but the dialogue and outfits will have to be a bit more generic, and only those with vanilla voicetypes(vanilla beggars have only 5 voicetypes I think? ) will have voice when they say the lines. I'll work on this when I have time, finding suitable voicelines to use (and splicing when needed) always takes quite some time for me.
Thanks for the quick reply. TBH, giving them any common clothes, other than the rags they have on, would be an improvement, IMO. That or just a cloak to keep warm in.
The mod I have is Populated Cities, Towns, and Villages.
The beggar NPC shows up as 'Beggar' and has Base Form 3B000D8A plus Ref Form 3B00E877.
I loaded that mod in xEdit and found that the beggar NPCs use all kinds of voicetypes, to make my work easier I'll have to settle for simple lines like "yes?" and "thank you" for the dialogue.
Yay! 👍 Just downloaded it and disabled the original version. TBH, I'm not seeing an option to clothe a random beggar. I'm going to adjust my load order as I also have Give Beggars Food - just in case that's messing around with things.
Okay, this might be a oddity due to my other mods, so apologies in advance and absolutely not disrespecting your work. 🙂
For me, when I approach a named beggar, I get to offer them 10 Septims, food, or buy them clothes. So far, so good.
For unknown beggars, the option to buy them clothes doesn't appear until I give them 10 Septims. Then you can clothe them.
A slight quirk and work around if anyone else gets this. Thanks for adding this feature, though.
Actually that's how it's supposed to work. In mod description : "The dialogue appears after you befriend the NPC, and when you have at least 100 gold the "let me help" option will show up." I guess the reason why you can give vanilla beggars clothes directly is that you have already befriended them before. Anyway good to know it's working for you, I'll edit the descprition page to emphasize this bit.

I am SOLD.
Would it be possible to give Silda a fur hood/cap instead of the mage hood?
Kudos.

Just tried it earlier in Riften and both of the vanilla beggars are now suitably dressed 🙂 Maybe they'll get to the Cloud District later 😉
I'll test it on 3D NPC beggars and the mod that increases city civilians too.

Immersion now at 109% 😉

I always wanted to give Silgia something warmer to wear in the Icy Windhelm climate, that poor woman!
Many thanks :D
