Honestly if you are able to add the soggy feet effect, and the cold breath effect, WaC would not be needed at all anymore, just probably the GEAR version which is lighter + this mods and no more script clogs and freezes.
Completely different mod, not even the same functionality, the point of this particular mod is having an optimized approach to the effect, not clogging the game with scripts like RASS and WAC does...
Loving this, seems super light and have in running without issue so far. Is it possible to change the number of drops occurring? Would prefer it ro be a bit less when it's raining, current effect would look good if I had just gotten out of water but feels a bit OTT for rain. Personal preference obviously but would be nice if it was adjustable.
it brings back my dilemma on whether to enable or disable this feature in the game because as much as i like it, it doesnt discriminate whether you are under the shelter or not. as long as its raining, its dripping.
It's possible to do that, but I'd need to use scripts and other stuff to be able to do that. Which I'm not very well versed on. For example the wet foot effect requires a script to actually let the game know where the impact is, i.e the foot area
I wish devs would approach issues like that with a "most bang for your buck" mentality, instead of trying to make everything as realistic and fully featured as possible.
In this specific case, the obvious solution is to simply check if the player is in an indoor location or not. And make sure to only make this disable the rain check, not the wet effect alltogether, since there's indoor locations with water.
Only takes a few codelines, only needs to be checked on cell-load: Super simple, super fast, super reliable and unlikely to ever cause crashes. Yes, it won't consider shelter in outdoor locations, but like you said: Accounting for that would multiply the complexity by ten.
I tried the original Wet and Cold once, and quickly banned it from my loadorder because of incompatibilities. Also tried RASS, and banned that too from my system because of incompatibilities. Please don't make this mod go down the same path. Keep it simple stupid.
Hello, thanks for the great mod, is it possible to make this effect work for a few seconds after the character or NPC comes out of the river or any water?

Ported it over by myself so can't help you there.
