Version 3.0 does not come with any real changes. It is basically just a re-upload of 2.5.1d-ng-fix1 so I can make it the main file and clean up the files section. You do not need to update if 2.5 runs fine. But if you do update, follow the update instructions on the main page and delete all old files.
Multiple separate versions will no longer be supported, and neither will any of the old versions. If you get a code 126 error from SKSE, you most likely do not have the correct Visual C++ Redistributables installed, and will likely experience errors with other plugins in the future. Check the powerofthree's Papyrus Extender page and make sure you have all its requirements. Reminder you should install both x64 and x86 versions of VC++ Redist just to be sure.
I hope this will be the last time I have to inconvenience everybody.
A clean save is required when updating to 2.0! Because this will reset all Inscription perks and progress, a "Debug" section has been added to the MCM where you can manually restore perks, Inscription level, and force complete the tutorial quest. Sorry for the inconvenience.
Hey! This seems really cool but I am running into a problem.. When I use the power, there's no spells/scrolls to craft in the menu. To start, I'm on the 1.5.97 version of the game, I've installed both versions of visual c++ x64/x86, and all of the 1.5.97 versions of the requirements. I apologize if I missed that this is a 1.6.x mod but thought I'd ask just in case I'm missing something.
Why not use soul gem fragments to craft scrolls? Maybe an ability to turn soul gems to soul gem fragments in the forge or mortal and pestle and then use that to create scrolls
I'm just testing this mod out for the first time, and I really like it. I prefer it to the other scroll scribing mods I've tried because it doesn't alter a bunch of world spaces. I do have a couple of requests though, if you're open to them! First, it would be nice if I could use the power to bring up the crafting menu, provided I have a quill and ink in my inventory, rather than having to place the crafting station. But my bigger request would be to edit the slider for experience to include negative values so we can slow down progression if we want, not just speed it up, if that makes sense.
Anyway, love this mod, endorsed, thank you so much. :)
Side note, want to report that thus far I've had no issues with soul gems converting to arcane dust. When there's dust left over, it stays in my inventory, but my extra soul gems return to soul gems like they should. Will let you know if this changes, since I see others have had that issue, but so far I haven't had a problem with it.
Hello, thank you for sharing your amazing mod i love it Is it possible for future updates to be able to turn Soul Gem Fragments to Arcane Dust as well? i think it would make them finally useful
I've already seen a comment about this but I have no scroll creation / crafting mods and this mod still doesn't work. I don't get any arcane dust at all despite having empty soul gems. I even tried enabling use of filled gems. It wouldn't convert them either.
Appears to be incompatible with Skill uncapper, https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/82558. The game crashes and throws the flag "panicked at 'called 'Result::unwrap()' on an 'Err' value: ()', SkyrimUncapper\src\hooks.rs:1018:55", this occurs when I try opening the custom Inscription Skill tree.
