Been using this forever and loving it but I've run into an issue. Guards are holding their helmets during the rain despite putting them on (using Dynamic Armor Variants.) I can't remember if I fixed that once and missed my install of this up. How should it look in the IED menu. Thanks!
Might need to tweak a setting in the IED display from this mod to hide helmet while raining. Helmet Toggle handles the rain part for DAV tho (if you used the SPID file).
I'm having some trouble getting this to work with Skyrim Spear Mechanic. When I try to apply either of the "Spear with Shield" gear nodes, it has no effect on guards with spears, but causes some guards with swords to have their scabbard float in the air as if it was attached to their right hand (I've seen this effect in Windhelm, but not in Whiterun).
EDIT: I installed Extra Skeleton Nodes and set DisableHideOnSit in SimpleDualSheath to NPC. The guards still won't hold their spears, but that fixed the scabbard thing.
EDIT 2: Wait, nevermind, the scabbard thing is back. It looks like it happens when the mod loads a default config from memory rather than it being set manually.
EDIT 3: I tried applying the custom item preset, but not the gear node presets. This produces the expected behavior, at least for guards with swords (haven't seen one with a spear yet).
No estaria nada mal un parche para los mods como Improved closefaced helmets DAV y Improved closefaced helmets ya que es literalmente un infierno hacer que funcione la funcion del casco en la mano, ya que lo que ocurre es que saca el casco que tiene equipado pero no se lo quita de la cabe, por lo que se duplica el casco, eso pasa en todos los npcs.
Unsure if this is a vanilla bug or a mod issue, but guards who are already in their furniture markers when I enter a cell (at the door in Palace of the Kings, at their posts in Underground Keep) have helmets on their hand and no weapons displayed. GetSitting = 3.00 like they normally do when in their markers, but if I sprint into them, they make comments as if they're not in a marker. If I move them via console, they go back to their marker and everything is normal. They stop making comments when sprinting into them and their displays are as expected. EDIT: This is with Helmet Toggle's spell distributed to everyone and its preset as instructed in its installer. Doesn't seem to be the issue here, but for clarity's sake.
In my game they do perform the pose but they have no weapons in their hand.
Any idea why?
Another question, If I equip a spear to all the guard, it will be enough to have them wear it and have this cool spear and shield pause? Or do I need the spear mod mentionned in the modpage specifically?
where are the presets? im following the instructions, and guards are doing the pose with invisible weapons, but i have no presets in the IED ui to select from (except from the default separate bows from crossbows)
Did you ever get this figured out? Im having the same issue....using most recent versions of all required mods and I have no preset options to select from.
I'm also having this issue but the presets are there and I applied them having followed the directions but for some reason they still have no weapons or they're invisible
Hi I have "Guards Pose" under Gear Nodes but not under the Display Manager, so I can't get the bow to show up. All other weapons are there. Am I missing something? Thank you!
edit: can't read, it's only under gear nodes, not display manager. bow is showing now
I really like it and it's working great without issues.
Don't know if it can be done, it would be nice to have them occasionally transition into a relaxing idle animation and transition back to the guarding pose.

The issue was the Helmet Toggle mod. I had the baldness workaround MCM option enabled. Disabling it fixed this. Cheers.

I've been trying to find this information and I can't seem to find it anywhere else...
How do you reset all presets using the IED UI?
And by reset, I mean completely wipe every NPC who may have something loaded to them so I can apply these presets on a clean slate.

If you overwrote that preset with something else, download it again from the IED's modpage.
