Have everything installed and i just can equip an invisible sword to throw invisible projectiles. with the left hand i can attack with the usual animation.
Hello everyone, I managed to get the animations working but does anyone know why the sound for the spells are so quiet. In fact they still make the vanilla slashing on impact with enemies. Am I the only one with this issue?
Element switching simply does not work at all after managing to finally get the ready combo to work by re-binding power attack, the switching element animation plays but the element doesn't switch still. Only fire and wind work.
I'm going to take it to the next level a bit and make it more a mod I'd want to play myself (because it is much more fun to play a mage making left-right combos instead of the dull vanilla system for sure).
Trying to figure out why payload interpreter only halfway wants to work for me in the mean time!
Just a heads up Adri actually has a little framework that goes a long way to this "Inquisitor" the problem is porting all the annotations over, and making it kinda make sense? In that way you can avoid the the problem of switching preset elements, and have the power and cost of spells actually be affected by perks and magic effects, etc.

5 hit combo with the 5th hit being far stronger and this is true for all damage types. All spells reduce the target's resistance to your other elements to encourage weaving.
fire on left click, 90% dot damage and widening splash. Blinds targets so they miss more for it's defensive edge. Medium mana cost. All fire spells reduce enemy shock and ice resist for 5 seconds
shock on right click, far stronger, larger AOE than fire, hideously high mana consumption. Instant hit, longer range. Destroys enemy Fire and Ice resistances almost twice as strongly as the other elements.
Ice upon holding SHIFT and clicking either normal or Power attack. Actually restores mana per cast so you can maintain a combo flow even before you get regen gear. Low damage, has physical impact including the ability to send foes flying on it's stronger blows. Reduces enemy Fire and Shock resistance on hit.
Backward+any attack at any point sends a force wave ahead, somersaults backwards, and does a medium self-heal.
All spells have a very small aoe at impact location to account for the third person camera never exactly matching up with where you shoot the spell.
A combo I'm liking right now is shock fire fire ice shock. That way I can stack ice and fire's shock resist maluses on the target for the big Lightning blast on 5th combo . I ate Ancano with it.
it feels nice honestly right now. Still tweaking for balance and working on the artwork so it's got more of that custom ooomph. Also planning to work in some little things like Lightning doing more damage the higher your own mana percentage is and Ice doing more damage the lower your mana percentage is, since Lit is your mana dumper and Ice and your recharge.
Special detonations for weaving elements like following up a hit with Ice with a Fire. Still just brainstorming on this one.

I've got it to a pretty solid place (made left click ice right click fire, shift+anything be lightning) but I'm a little burned out because I don't know what I'm doing wrong with payload interpreter's @playparticle function and I need a minute to let the answers come to me haha.
