I like a lot but may I ask for a dirty version of the same textures? I think it's the only so white thing around my skyrim

I made each of these textures from photographs. I personally photographed each of these towels and edited them in GIMP to make them look as close to the original as possible. The purpose of creating this mod was to convey all the beauty of Ukrainian national embroidery with centuries-old history and traditions. I tried reducing the saturation. Desaturation leads to the fact that embroidery loses all its beauty and originality. No different from any factory-made rag. It is not able to convey the uniqueness of Ukrainian embroidery. Bright colors have always been an integral attribute of Ukrainian embroidery. And I want these textures to look exactly like the original, and not like a standard factory-made rag.
Sorry, but I will not make less saturated textures for Ukrainian embroidery.

UPD You can change the textures for yourself to suit your taste. Just unpack the dds using "paint.net" (for example). Adjust the saturation to your preferences using GIMP or Photoshop. And pack it back into dds BC7 using Texconv. It's not difficult and doesn't take much time.

it's not much about saturations of colors, it's just the super clean white part of rags in a cove of bandits or in a fort of soldiers that it's a bit weird to see, like they have washer machines ^^ but yeah I will try to change the dds myself.

Now I understand you. Now I understand what you meant. As I already said, I specifically photographed embroidered towels for this mod. And I made textures from real photographs. Of course I took pictures of clean towels. I don't have photos of stained and dirty towels to create dirty textures. In addition, rags are distributed randomly throughout Skyrim. If I made the textures of dirty rags, then they would not be dirty not only in the ruins of the fort, but also on the bar counter in the tavern, and in the royal bedroom. This is also not logical, is it? When there are rags covered in dirt lie in Elisif's bedroom, in the Jarl's chambers, in the royal palace or in the Thalmor embassy, would this be correct?

By the way, it’s quite easy to explain the presence of clean rags in the bandits’ den. The bandits simply robbed a merchant who was carrying handmade goods for sale. Or bandits robbed the house of a noble gentleman or a wealthy farmer. Easily. But it is impossible to explain why there is a rag stained with dirt place in the king’s bedroom. Why didn't the servants wash the towel?

Always interesting to see your work in-game, always a pleasant surprise when I'm not expecting it.

Love the patterns! Would you be interested doing something similar to drapes or tablecloths?

I was thinking about this while making this mod. But there are quite a lot of drapes or tablecloths. And everyone has their own NIF. So it's a lot of work and a lot of time.
      Maybe. Subsequently.

    Hi Halffaces,

You can have all 9 textures in the BOS version. Just remove the first Rag01 entry after | from your BOS file, like this:

    Rag01|Rag01guelderrose,Rag01flower,all 9 here

Now the vanilla Rag01 will never show up with this config.

Of course, you can still keep the separate 1-10 direct replacer files, but only for people who don't use BOS.

I know this. But I intentionally left out the vanilla Rag01 because many people want to use another vanilla retexture. Not only my textures.
So I left vanilla Rag01 on purpose. To meet the needs of all players.

Ah, great that you already know!

Related question, then, do you have a STATIC for the version 9 in your main esp? So I can tweak the SWAP to have all 9 versions plus vanilla?

v9 is not at all in the main ESP. I did not want to add v9 to the main mod, because this texture does not belong to Ukrainian traditional hand embroidery. This is an ordinary towel. That's why I made it a separate simple vanilla retexture.
I'm sorry, but I don't understand your question. Why I must have a STATIC for the v9 in my main ESP, if v9 not not included there?

      Enjoy, my friend!
I'm glad to hear that people like it. I plan to add a few more textures to BOS version in the future. As soon as I can find and take a photo other Ukrainian hand-embroidered towels in real life.

Thank you very much! I've only recently started modding and haven't mastered the BOS skills yet. But this is in my plans for the future.

      I tried very hard ;-)
I hope it will work fine. I didn't have a lot of time to tested it in many locations. I cheked only Riverwood and Whiterun and saw all 4 variants in differents cells

    For BOS you need to:
    Spoiler:
    Show

    1. Copy the mesh and rename it. Do this once for every rag texture you have. I try to name them in way I can remember so rag01.nif might become rag01flower.nif

    2. Rename each texture. So rag01.dds might become rag01flower.dds

    3. Open the meshes in nifskope and reassign the textures so textures>clutter>common>rag01.dds becomes textures>clutter>common>rag01flowwer.dds. Do this for each mesh

    4. Take your new meshes and textures and open them in creation kit

    5. Find the folded rag entry and double click to edit.

    6. Change the editorID to match just like you did with the meshes and textures.

    7. Under model you need to choose the appropriate mesh so meshes>clutter>common>rag01.nif might become meshes>clutter>common>rag01flower.nif

    8. Save. A new box will pop up warning you the editorID has changed and ask if you want to save as a new entry. Click yes to save as new entry

    9. Repeat steps 5-8 for each new rag.

    10. Save plugin

    11. Open plugin in xedit and flag as .esl (you may need to compact formIDs)

    12. Write the BOS ini file. The simplest way is to randomly distribute. Look at folded rag diversification's ini for inspiration. It is pretty straight forward

Hope this makes sense and helps! I suck at explaining things so hope its not confusing. It seems like a lot but once you get the hang of it those 12 steps might take you 10 minutes. If I forgot something hopefully someone will correct me :)
