Some NPCS have yellowish eyes. They have the red eye, but while the rest of their eye should be white, it has a slight yellowish tone. Any way to fix it ? The NPCS' I have problem with are vampires from CC content.
You'd have to load up the other mod in the CK and open the record for the NPC in question. Make sure you have the vampire eye texture from this mod in your textures folder. Then open the NPC record in the Creation Kit (you'll need to search for it in the menu) and go to the Character Gen Parts tab. Under the Base Head Parts section, set their eyes to some kind of vampire eyes (eg FemaleEyesHumanVampire01Nord) and then press ctrl + f4. Then close out of the CK and you should have the new facegen in your textures/meshes folders. Good luck!
yea didn't work. the NPC i tried it with ended up with a missing face, and purple hair texture. could see the eyes though and they were changed to the subtle vampire eyes lol. possibly something wrong with the mod of that npc or another mod causing the face or head mesh to go missing when exporting. not sure. if you have any suggestions what might cause this i'm open.
I think I know what happened! The purple color means that the texture wasn't found (but the mesh was), and the missing face seems to suggest both the mesh and texture couldn't be found.
I think what you need to do is to edit your CreationKit.ini file in your Skyrim folder (one level above your Data folder) and make sure you have ?????bAllowMultipleMasterLoads=1 in the General section, and then add any BSAs that affect the NPC in question (including the mod that adds the NPC) to SResourceArchiveList2 under the Archive section. This should allow the CK to load all the files for the NPC face correctly; you can check the preview button when you bring up their NPC record to make sure their head looks right before pressing ctrl + f4.
Oh yeah if you use any other mods that change the way characters look you would have to do some manual integration work on the back end. It was pretty nuts the amount of work I had to do to support the few number of mods I did.
How hard would it be for me to edit this to make an exception for them? I kind of like the idea of them having the classic eyes since they are old school royals.
<3 Oh, wow! I found this mod of yours when looking for update to your CC patches, and, I decided to try it, because I can't find a mod concerning vampires esthetic without having a black bug face at one moment or another, and, this one just work perfectly, AND no black faces so far, and I already checked all the NPCs I had issues with in the past, and not one had the bug. THANK YOU!!! <3
This is great thanks my character no longer looks like a goblin !! Just wondering how this plays with imperious races of skyrim as i know other vampire appearance mods didn't work it.
Hey I know this is a late response but I don't believe this would work with imperious races since the vampire race is most likely a custom race rather than the vanilla vampire races that I've edited.
THANK YOU! It works perfectly This is the only mod that works for me, because those ugly faces was annoyig as hell. I'm just using different textures for eyes.
Thanks! I actually was talking with another user about this; I don't have the skills to make the .TRI file required for such a thing, but I've reached out to another mod author to see if they'd grant me permission to include that in this mod to enable female vampires with fangs. Fingers crossed!
Thank you very much for making this mod. I have tried several mods attempting to do the same however always end up with them either not working or causing the dreaded black face bug.
Also the no eyes option was glorious, allowing me to use Fangs and Eyes - A Vampire Appearance Mod to make my eyes blue.
10/10 mod that deserves to be on the number 1 spot. Endorsed and voted (whatever voting does).
