okay, so for some reason, when I have this mod enabled, any characters I try to make with CotR end up having, like, pieces of their head jutting out? Like, they look like spikes. I thought for some reason it might be a conflict with HPH CotR (despite it being recommended), but disabling that made it worse. Help?
Make sure which COTR version you have and use same one. I reinstalled this mod (COTR Overhaul) again but instead of High Poly Head version chose the default version and it works.
I've been trying to patch CotR Glow Eyes Add On to work with COTR Overhaul, because, when I try to use them normally, the game freezes and crashes, so I picked the lens models from COTR Overhaul and tried to edit them. The game doesn't freezes and crashes anymore, but the lens models are broken being absolutely black, and I have no clue what to do: I already tried using the same texture paths as the lens of this mod, and the lens are black, then I tried to set the same paths and eye configuration as the original mod... and they're still black, so I have no idea what to do right now.
Hi, first off, thanks for this great mod. I include it in every modlist I use. I was trying to make a warrior character with a blind left eye and noticed that the left/right blind eye lenses have been replaced by both-blind-eye lenses. I checked the files, and this change seems to come from this mod. I tried using the original LensMaleBlindLeft.nif and LensMaleBlindRight.nif files from COTR, but they looked terrible. I also tried editing the UV, but it didn’t work either—the other eye turned black instead of transparent. I read the sticky note and don't expect a mod file, but any ideas or a guide to fix this would be appreciated.
Noticed the same. Not sure why these meshes were changed.
Edit: After doing some digging discovered that the Alpha Properties had been removed, which were serving to "hide" half of the mesh in each case. Here's a link to the fixed meshes if you want to try them out: (Link)
Semi relevant suggestion: Assuming you haven't, you're installer should potentially by default (or just an option) to install variants of the headmeshes with the mesh specular corrected to match HIMBO, in case you didn't know there is a mismatch between COTR and HIMBO on that front so I figured it'd be worth mentioning.
So, what I did to make this work was make the character with COTR overhaul, export the head, then turn this mod off, import the head, and then I could use the eyes without them losing the expression/animation. It only worked at about half the time, though lol. Not an ideal solution either edit - btw that is how I did it for miraak to have heterochromia. since I was going to have to export the head anyway. which reminds me i forgot to add this mod to the credits list and need to do remedy that lol!
I was trying to use this eye mesh with heterochromia eye instead of the original. I experienced eye clipping with the original COtR eye, so I wanted to use this mesh for my replacer. I edited the UV for this eye, but since I'm not experienced with modding, I encounter weird bugs when the NPCs move their eyes.
if its related to when they're blinking or talking or making expressions it may be a .tri issue. check if youre not using the eye mesh with a different eye mesh's .tris
I love the mod, but the scalp fix slider doesn't seem to work. Im using the non High Poly version with KS Hairdos, and a lot of hair is clipping with my female dunmer elf.
Hello, I am trying to create an NPC replacer using this wonderful mod, and I am having issues with game freezes (likely corresponding to mismatched polys with the tri files, as explained in your description). I'm having trouble finding out exactly which mesh/tri combo is the problem, and I am confused because there are some meshes in this mod that don't have their own tri file - the head being one of them, female lashes another. I have this mod overwriting COTR high poly and picked the high poly mesh in the fomod and am using the female head tri file from High Poly, and the mesh from COTR Overhaul. The lashes tri I had to pull from the original COTR mod... do you think that is where the problem could be?
Also, I was confused as to whether I should use the mesh provided in your BNP COTR teeth mod (as there's no associated tri) or High Poly COTR.
I fixed it. So I did actually the opposite of what I said earlier - I WAS using the eyefemale.tri for the lashes mesh, which was totally wrong (duh, of course it is). When I assigned the tri file for the lashes that I pulled from original COTR - that worked. Sigh.

neato, was worried it was AE exclusive cuz of how new it is. mods were typically listing whether or not its for either version back when AE dropped but I wasnt see anything like dat here so didnt know if newer mods make the distinction anymore

I noticed that the eye lens sliders does work with the "old scars", but not with your vanilla scars, it would be great to make it work with these, and by the way would be nice to add more scars "configurations" (i think you understand what i mean), because i can only make a one-eyed character with the old base CoTR scars.
EDIT : Also i noticed that the scars from Vanilla Scars on the nose area are "clipping" (scar appear to be in the space rather than on the nose)

Just thinking...for the elves (orc too i guess) ears, could it be possile to have an additional human ear shape in "ear shape " slider please ?
I mean the ear sliders type 001 / 002 etc... are just far better to have original elven ears just by modifiyng human basic ear shape...
I try to change color but still yellow.
