For some reason after installing I had some sort of face tint issue, all the heads are dark brown. I installed the face discoloration fix mod but now the foreheads of a lot of morphs have a weird blue mark across the whole forehead. What am I doing wrong
i previously had this working just fine (great mod by the way!) but recently ive redone my load order and cant seem to replicate that effect. if i run skyfem (without NAO and/or skyfem fixer edition) then install and load after skyfem the faces are effected but the clothed bodies revert to male for whatever reason. the other scenario i get is the NPC's just have vanilla assets. when using skyfem fixer edition am i meant to be using the original NAO as well? should i be running skyfem with it before installing fixer? and if this is the case how do i manage to overwrite skyfem as the esp is technically added as a master
i dont usually post but im kinda at a loss and would like some insight from someone with more familiarity with it
oh this post is a few days old, sorry I missed it. clothing mods (and vanilla clothes and naked body) armoraddon files being converted to point to female meshes is handled entirely by skyfem, so something went wrong with the skyfem install
1 - run skyfem on your new load order (without NAO installed) and still copy over facegen as per skyfem instructions (this will ensure coverage of NPCs from mods NAO doesn't include
might be a good idea to playtest at this point to make sure it all worked
thanks for the reply, after some tinkering i managed to have the bodies back to how they should be but all converted NPC's use vanilla assets as far as i can tell (possibly using high poly head but uncertain) but its the vanilla hairs and dirty faces that are frustrating me.
ive tried many combinations of load order + priority to try to get at least something to overwrite the vanilla assets to no avail. ill run skyfem again and try the steps mentioned, i've just been avoiding it as i cant just add all 500+ mods as a master
ok bodies back to female is a good step (likely have skyfem sorted). for the heads to have the NAO faces/hairs we'll just need to ensure that BOTH of the following are true:
NAO esp overrules skyfem
NAP facegen files overwrite skyfem generated facegen
NAO esp is loaded after skyfem, and at least claims to be overwriting the facegen files for it in the priority pane so next im going to backup my overwrite folder then clear it and see what difference if any that makes. even though m02 reports no file conflicts with either skyfem or NAO.
also thank you for your patience and helping troubleshoot
I've been having the same issues trying to get this to work correctly on and off for a couple months. With NAO toggled off in MO2 SkyFem works as intended (So long as I change "Mark all NPCs to female" to true in the patcher) but the moment I toggle NAO on all the characters that were male in the base game regain their male body with a female head.
I followed all the instructions properly in both mods, the only thing I can think of is this mod being made without the change to the SkyFem patcher in mind which I have no idea how to compensate for that in my own load order.
I'd love to have some of the diversity this mod seems to bring so if anyone finds a solution I'd love to hear it, but until then I guess it's vanilla presets on most NPCs for a while.
you don't want 'mark as female' true. and if you have to in order to make skyfem work, ... it isn't working. My guess is that the version of xEdit used is too new and the ArmorAddons aren't getting female targets copied over for males.
unfortunately the skyfem patcher scripts don't work with the latest xEdit versions. I keep a copy of xEdit 4.0.4 on the side to run Skyfem patcher
Getting the 4.0.4 version of SSEEdit seems to have done the trick for the previous issue I was having but now I'm having an issue where if I have this mod installed some characters have different colored faces from their bodies. Tried all the possible fixes on the Sky Fem forum page but nothing worked. What's really odd to me is that what characters are miscolored seem to be random every time I start a new game. I was also having an issue with neck seems even on new saves.
(BTW I tried on a load order with just this mod, it's required mods, and an alt start mod to see if my large load order was causing the issues but it seemingly did nothing.)
Why should I use this after SkyFem? Can't I use it before, and set it as a Master for SkyFem? Hoping that it would use these faces to make NPCs prettier
if you use this before skyfem you will still have pretty faces... but all the male faces will be copies of the females. the point of this version of NAO is to give all those feminized "men" a unique pretty face (ie not a copy)
There is something wrong with elves body skintones when installing this mod. They are utilizing human skintones instead of their corresponding elves skintones. When I disable this mod or load it before skyfem the right skintones are applied correctly.
hmmm... this mod doesn't stray away from the vanilla texture set records with the exception of elder race using vanilla nord sets instead of elder texture sets. it's designed that way to work with vanilla and any vanilla skin replacer that just replaces the texture files in the vanilla path.
so, likely a conflict with something in your load order. The skyfem patch would naturally pick up any changes to target textures in your order since it's an automated patch based on what you have installed, but this mod would not.
Maybe I could create a patch if there's a mod in there that changes file and path for elf textures. i have some questions:
what elves are you seeing this on? all of them, some,... dark elves only, high elves only...?
what skin mods if any do you use?
what mods if any do you use that change the elven races?
Edit: Sorry, posted this on the wrong version of your mod...
Looks great, and I'd like to try it, but I get errors I have not seen before (from LOOT and EasyNPC):
This plugin contains records that have FormIDs outside the valid range for an ESL plugin. Using this plugin will cause irreversible damage to your game saves.
The following NPC options depend on invalid form IDs and have been disabled to prevent build failures.
Yep, you can stack on any NPC replacer (multi-character, or individual replacers) and as many as you want. It's all about load order and file priorities. if you want another NPC replacer to win over this one then that NPC replacer would need to load after this (and it's facegen meshes replace those from this mod)
I see... so the picture censors are too small - that's fair. I'll just remove them (the pics I mean, not the censors). I have some mugshots now anyway.
