Lydia voice randomly change to FemaleUniqueLydia and FemaleEvenToned. is that normal?

Yes, that is normal. I did not overdub the Lydia's Unique Voice from IFD back to FemaleEvenToned. The mod basically allows both voices heard (instead of muting the FemaleEvenToned one).

why did you repack my whole mod, save the .esp, instead of just the relevant files? I'm confused. You have LOD files in this mod.

Have been wondering the same thing! The sound folder just needs to be renamed and the plugins edited accordingly. abcd99 this will probably make your job easier when updating the mod!

There is no way for me to do change the voice to FemaleEvenToned other than repacking your mod. I did that change to your forum and posted a Mega link and you banned me. By changing the voice to a unique voice, you denied other Lydia mods to work together nicely.

If you're not even going to have them in .bsas, all you need to do his have the relevant .fuz files for Lydia in the altered folder hierarchy. You don't need every other file associated with the mod.

      DATA
      >SOUND
      >>VOICE
      >>>IMPROVEDCOMPANIONSBOOGALOO.ESP
      >>>>FEMALEEVENTONED
      >>>>>Relevant .fuz files.

That's all you need, apart from a .esp with my ImprovedCompanionsBoogaloo.esp as a master that just changes her voicetype back to femaleeventoned.

I blocked you because it looked like you were trying to re-distribute my entire mod in my own comment section.

If you are happy with his mod, you don't need to apply this patch mod. The problem that this mod fixes is that other mods that require Lydia to still be in FemaleEvenToned voice will be muted because of the IFD Lydia mod. Those mods include Amorous Adventures (which he patched by essentially removing AA quests involving Lydia completely), Young Lovers, RDO, More To Say, etc. So, essentially IFD Lydia doesn't play nice with the other mods. He even went as far as banning me from his mod page for pointing this out and yet he has the audacity to complain here.

There. It is completely up to you. If you're happy with IFD Lydia original and encounter no problem, then you don't need this mod.

@Maderasnobile, adding to what abcd99 already said, from user experience, this patch is needed. I have 3 mods affecting NPCs voice in FemaleEvenTuned path. Honestly, I don't understand why changing this folder name to another at the first place.

bro just make a patch and upload the sound files. No need for all the rest of the mod to be included.

The only file left in common is the texture file. Everything else is basically superseded by this mod. So, may as well include that one last file.

I use Mare as Lydia replacer and CarolineKarolina's Lydia Replacer Patch for IFD - Lydia.
Your previous version did not work with Mare Lydia replacer, will it work in this version or I better forget about it?
thanks for the mod anyway =)

In that case, you can still use Mare as Lydia replacer, but do not install the IFD patch. Instead, use this mod with No appearance replacer. Install Mare replacer mod AFTER this mod. It should work. If not, please let me know.

So I don't need the minor patches people made for specific followers or do I still need em?

That is correct. You don't need other people's patches, as a rule of thumb.

So this will make mods like RDO, More to Say and the Inigo-Lydia-banters work with IFDL, however any voiced dialogue triggered by those mods would use the vanilla FemaleEvenToned voice (instead of IFDL's FemaleUniqueLydia) - correct? Isn't it a bit jarring if Lydia regularly switches voices back and forth?

That is correct. If you use IFDL's FemaleUniqueLydia, these other mods will be silent. If you consider silent voice is better, it is up to you.

Silent wouldn't be such a big problem imho, the bigger problem is IFDL breaking other followers (dialogue loop) that have custom banter with Lydia and are referencing the FemaleEvenToned voice :(

The Bruma, Wyrmstooth and LOTD patches have the voice files under femaleuniquelydia.

You need to install the patches from my mod instead of the official one. They should be in FemaleEvenToned

EDIT: I think the original IFD mod could be removed now.

I just checked your archive, the patches had the voice files in a folder called femaleuniquelydia.

The newest updated fixed the problem, thanks! but your mod is conflicting with DynDOLOD generated LODs (something about a bandit castle), is that intended?

Will this mod also conflict with the SDA patch made for the original IFD?

Not intended. I just extracted the NIF from the BSA. My guess is that either that you need to disable the original IFD Lydia (since I included everything in the latest package) or redo the DynDOLOD. It didn't cause problems on my end, though.

The SDA patch for the IFD needs to be patched. I'll take care of that within the next few days.
