-- I have tested this wonderful player home for a few hours, it works fine.
-- Should be compatible to everything, except mods that add buildings or clutter in the same worldspace. The house is located just outside Windhelm, next to the farm house.
-- There is no automation, dinner serving, room service, daedric museums or any similar assets. Its lore friendly, simple and beautiful. There are quite a few beds though.
-- I dont use EnhancedLights and FX so the lighting could be a bit different for you if you use that enhancer. Check the images in the original mod page too.
-- I recommend 'Windhelm Bridge Overhaul' if you decide to use this player home for a play through. Will add a nice cozy market just in front of your door.
-- The longhouse is placed quite a few yards away from 'Routa', so those player homes should be compatible.
-- Known bug (?) , camera movement not working when the actor sits on a certain chair. No big deal.
Yeah I downloaded this and it isn't there. It just doesn't exist. Seems like people love to ignore and not address comments like this too, so I don't know why I'm even bothering.
Each time I tested this out I was comparing on new test save games each time and each time i loaded a new game w/it I always found it where it was supposed to be. I never tried adding it in to an existing save so I'm not sure if it has issues with that or not.
Adding this nice house to an ongoing game also works fine/normal as expected. No issues at all, no crashes, can enter normally etc. I just tested that.
Probably the most historically accurate house I've seen. Absolutely love it. There are many things to love about it but especially the beds who serves as sitting places AND storage are really a treat.
Any way to make this house claimable as a player home? Followers, spouses and children all don't recognize it as a player home and thus cannot be told to reside there without a mod such as MHiYH.
I couldn't find any conflicts in xedit, but I've noticed that in my game and even testing on a revised load order that the drum inside that the flute is sitting on along the beds to the left of the entrance once you step inside is missing, so the flute looks like it's just floating there.
I might just be dumb, but any reason why the loom and a few other meshes and models ain't showing up? Do I need something else other than just this mod to see them?
i have the same happening in my game, more specifically the fireplace.. the fire is there but in the middle of a black hole. And some other mesh items not loading. More than likely something i've done aha
Though these comments are old, for anyone else checking on this type of issue, house mods have always been finicky, especially when they're sharing cell space with vanilla items or other mods. Be sure this and other homes are installed before starting a new play. And more crucially, slap that load order in xEdit and check for conflicts! All the various issues people complain about are 99% user error.
If you don't know how to use xEdit then you cannot truly mod your game with confidence. Go look up Michael's videos under Gamer Poets on YouTube. Anything you have ever wanted to know about anything modding, he has a video. He's a wonderful person and his videos are very easy to follow.
All issues come down to: Load Order and Conflict Resolution. Good luck all and happy modding!
Love this house and I think it's damn near perfect the only things i dislike is how most things in it are static objects and its location is horrible for my playthrough as a hard boiled great war veteran hermit who's neutral in the war as he hates everyone equally. Would prefer it in the middle of nowhere. Falkreath woods or somewhere between Dawnstar and Morthal. Maybe someday I can move it there.
I had this mod on PS4, and I am so happy it's here too for PC! The only possible improvement I could think of (Aside from maybe another weapon rack or two, but that's beside the point) is maybe a patch for Multiple Hearthfire adopts? I would love to have a family with even just four kids running around.
