Vanilla Quests Malryn has commentary on: Main quest, Civil War, companions questline, No one escapes Cidhna mine, and Hircine, Molag Bal, and Namira's daedric quests.
I've tried this follower twice but both times removed her for the same reason... "Hey, over here!" "Hey, over here!" "Hey, over here!" "Hey, over here!" "Hey, over here!" "Hey, over here!" It's annoying af. Especially when calling out to me in a different room on a different floor. Any chance you could adjust it so I can give her a proper go for more than 5 mins? Cheers.
Does Mal use a custom body? The skin tone from her neck down is much lighter than her face and neck. I use CBBE with BnP skin, so I wanted to know if this might be a possible issue.
Also wanted to add, when asking her to wait somewhere she does... Except she takes herself all the way back to Solitude to do it.
Malryn is on the vanilla body, but prior versions had her using a skin that didn't fit the CBBE body, so I removed it this version in preparation to make an integrated patch. It seems like her face nif keeps too many records of the skin I use though, so I'll get around to making a patch for other bodies to prevent the mismatch. As for the wait thing, I can't replicate that in my game and my (admittedly few) testers don't have that either. Turns out they have seen this a couple of times. I'll add that to the bug list and try to figure out what's causing it. Do you have any mods that change npc packages by chance? And does this happen every time or in a specific location? (There was a bug where she would leave for Solitude if asked to wait in Markarth, but I thought we fixed it)
Just last night I asked Malryn to wait for me in the Silver Blood Inn and she left for parts unknown. I haven't tried asking her to wait anywhere else yet, so I don't know if the behavior is specific to Markarth or more general. I'm using the latest version of the mod. I use Nether's Follower Framework for my vanilla followers, but not on her, she has one of the NFF tokens.
BTW, this is my first time using the mod, and I love it so far. It was great when we were in combat and my character got injured, she told me to get behind her and she'd cover me. I'm looking forward to seeing how she evolves over time. Thank you for making this and sharing it.
Thank you so much for your kind words. I believe I found the issue with the relax function and it as well as her skin have been appropriately fixed. Thank you for playing!
The skin isn't really working for me still, I was wondering if this article would be any help to you?: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/articles/4387 I noticed there are a few records pointing to some anomalous things like male skins and the like when I checked it.
I'm loving the follower by the way. She talks fast, but it feels snappy compared to most other more tempered cadences, makes her feel more animated :)
Thank you very much for your effort. I really want to adventure with Malryn, but I installed this mod and couldn't find her in Inn. After you released a new version, I reinstalled this mod and the pre installed mod but still couldn't find her. Even with the new save, it didn't work. I'm so frustrated.
Thank you for your reply,I inputted "sqv silveryrnfollower"and got “item ‘silvmalrynfollower’not found for parameter Quest” “Compiled script not saved”
The spelling has to be exact. Sqv SILVMalrynFollower. If nothing comes up again that means the mod isn't installed in your game and we've got to look at other options. I see you've downloaded BEES, but make sure it's installed to run the mod on a downgraded game
I tried but still got the same result, and I also found that other independent followers who require BEES cannot appear in my game. Additionally, I found that my version 1.6.318 does not seem to match the USSEP I downloaded, but after finding the matching version of USSEP and creating a new archive, I still cannot find any followers who require BEES, including Malryn. So this shouldn't be your problem, but it's still confusing for me. I make sure these MODs are enabled.。
I understand your frustration, that's not fun. I would go over to the BEES page and see if you can get that working for you since it's going to become more and more of a necessity as time goes on. The way Bethesda has things set up currently means that Mod Authors have to have the new version of the Creation Kit to upload to xbox, so you're going to see more and more mods that require it. Good luck!
Always welcome voiced follower, and even more welcome if she has interactions with other popular voiced follower mods. The first mod that came to mind is Remiel, it seems like Malryn and Remiel can be besties.
I would love interactions with Remiel. I will keep all mod interactions private until they happen though. Just since so many things can happen when you're dealing with more than one schedule
I dunno if I already commented but...lots of people following your progress, author. Glad to see a new update on her.😌 One thing at a time, you're reaching the summit.
I'd like to imagine how she'll be when that point will be reached.
Hello again, do you ever plan to add beyond reach dialogue later in malryns development? I think it'd be really interesting to see what her responses to the western reach would be like given that she's a breton.
Hello :) I only have phase 1 of her quest in the mod right now which just hijacks one of four vanilla quests and then she hits you with her backstory after it's all said and done. If you would like a more detailed explanation, please see the help doc
Looking forward to this. I would to see her hit the 3000+ dialogue line mark. A detailed complex questline would also be great! Skyrim NEEDS more complex female follower mods instead of baseless, helpless damsels in distress that just thirst over the player. As a guy, it's cool at first but then it just gets boring after a while lol. Follower mods like M'rissi, Lucien and Inigo are great examples of in-depth followers. Will be tracking. :)

I've been playing a solo game up till now and have not seen her in this game before she appeared there and approached me.
